Is it wrong to eat cookies for breakfast when you're supposed to be losing weight?

Unfortunately once the babies come out you don't just lose all the weight just like that. This time last year i was looking like a beached whale on a cornwall beach, it doesn't just go! I know i'm not fat, fat but am the wrong side of 8 stone still!thebish wrote:eh? you were pregnant a year ago... not the same as having to lose weight now - you're NOT fat.Gooner Girl wrote:You weren't waddling around like a duck unable to see your toes this time last year hun... Aren't we all, dear!
GG I don't know you but going off the pictures you've posted you don't look like you're prone to fatness. The twins will have stretched bits beyond their normal parameters and your body needs time to readjust. Once you get back into your pre-baby exercise regime you'll tone back naturally. You know this yourself, really.

Made a new soup, broad bean and leek... bought a final reduction bag of broad beans originally more than £2 for 45p at Morrisons 'very last attempt to get some money out of you before we have to chuck it in the bin' section...
Hadn't the slightest idea what to do with them...
the internet offered this...

Was very nice - had two bowls and a little blue cheese after and was very happy...
Oh - portuguese dirt cheap white...
Only one souvenir of holiday left - a red douro to be shared with friends in a week's time...

Naah... All the bean family fab, nutritious, tasty, yearning for herbs and spices to make all our lives better... you could do worse than start with broad beans and leeks as a soup...Wandering Willy wrote:You've answered your own question.William the White wrote:Made a new soup, broad bean and leek... bought a final reduction bag of broad beans originally more than £2 for 45p at Morrisons 'very last attempt to get some money out of you before we have to chuck it in the bin' section...

I'm not sure if anybody used to go to Gallaghers in Blackrod, it used to be a brilliant pub when Pat Gallagher used to be in charge.
Ever since he left it basically went to shit, a few people tried and failed to get it back to its former glory.
Somebody else is giving it a go, it's been re-named to Suzannah's and we thought we'd give it a go this weekend. It's brilliant!
It's been done up brilliantly, I'd definitely recommend going down if you are in the area.

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
Right, help please folks...
I'm cooking tea (I've not been brainwashed enough to call it dinner yet) for a lady friend on Thursday. However, I am the cooking equivalent of Ali Dia (had my chance, should never have got past preparation tbh). What can I make that will a) impress her, and b) be relatively easy enough that i won't mess it up?
cheers
