The Official Knee-Jerk Thread
I have seen such threads on other forums - most recently the GW forum where GG hails from..
basically - a thread where you can offer totally irrational and OTT post match reactions to a defeat (or anything else annoying at the club) - and be allowed to without then being "held" to your opinion that Robbo should be shot or Klasnic should have his remaining liver removed in more rational and considered times...
Such OTT irrational reaction is often needed to let off steam - and they don't sit well alongside a serious discussion...
also - nobody is allowed (in this thread) to tell someone that they should calm down because we are only 5 games into the season!!
so... here it is!

Re: The Official Knee-Jerk Thread
Davies is like a lame horse who should be taken out and shot.
Knight should just be shot.
Robinson should be pulled apart by horses.
Klasnic should just have his head removed to avoid temptation.
And Coyle should be told that if we are in the bottom three after 10-12 games then it's his head on the block!
And cheers Bish I feel better already!

Well at one point today, Zat Knight took the ball out from the back, went past a man and laid a cross-field ball to Boyata. Sublime. Shades of Maldini. I tell ya, that fella is a good footballing defender.
You didn't say the knee-jerking had to be negatives!

When Muamba scored his first goal, I had to seriously be talked out of sticking money on him to score 10 this season! Put money on him to score next game instead...jimbo_bwfc wrote:Well at one point today, Zat Knight took the ball out from the back, went past a man and laid a cross-field ball to Boyata. Sublime. This time next season we could be facing NWSNBN's Sheffield Wednesday...and get beat 5-0.

We could be back at Gigg Lane, after all the "we'll never play you again" comments.Worthy4England wrote:This time next season we could be facing NWSNBN's Sheffield Wednesday...and get beat 5-0.

Imagine all the smug faces if we're in the same league as Burnley!

just about rescued there DSB - nearly a yellow card for you!

Re: The Official Knee-Jerk Thread
Big Kev partnering Cahill and Zat Knight up top. Bullet in the head for everyone else bar Mark Davies, who'll be our new goaly, but wearing massive great big feck-off gloves that span the entire goalmouth.

But can I just add Jaaskeläinen to the firing squad....he's a total liability - who's super glued him to his line, he never moves off it.
Having Robinson in the side is like playing with 10 men - championship standard at best (lower half)
And having Kevin Davies upfront in the same side is like playing with 9 men.....(may as well stick a cardboard cutout in the ground at the edge of the opposition box), and that's before anybody getting sent off - we have a side currently carrying far to many passengers !
OC - please turn the fecking lights off with this shower of overpaid average players, and let us just remember and hold on to the days when we actually had a side that we were proud of and looked forward to watching with many talented footballers proud to wear the Bolton shirt who could actually play football and entertain - instead of this shower who most fans just turn up out of loyalty and end up being bored to tears.
Oh for the days of Okocha, Youri, N'gotty, Campo, Frandsen, Stelios etc....proper players - Yes we had relegation battles but we played some decent entertaining quality football and at least the fans looked forward to match days and the football on offer.
I agree I slagged Allardyce off in his last couple of years when he lost interest and played long ball when he brought Davies in (hmmm - decent player KD but he's dictated our style of play for many a year, and it now needs to stop) - but prior to that it was
mouth watering at times 2003 - 2005 (we even challenged the big boys every now and then !) - and with all the prem money we've had since apart from Anelka we've never managed to bring in a player even fit to lace any of their boots.
Last time I can recall playing Norwich at home (I may be wrong) - but we had a full house 27,000 plus sat evening (5.30 KO), great atmosphere and Stelios smashed one in from 20 yards - this current side and sides since have been a very pale shadow....

Is it permitted to jerk a knee rather swiftly into Howard Webb's crotch?
