OC has got to figure out a way to protect Robbo, if this is not addressed he will need a drug test.

protect him by getting him to sit on the bench and bibi playing at the position.

isnt the spaniard a winger ?

i'd hope our wingers do some work to counter him and not just leave it all to the fullbacks.

 yeah, you'd hope so. i wouldn't hold you're breath, though.

prediction: we'll score early (Petrov), just to get everyone's hopes up, then go on to lose 4–1.

I'm tempted to join the calls for Bibi at left back. Managers will be targeting Robbo now, because it is so obvious that he can be beaten for pace. It's not his fault - I play 5-a-side, and if I'm up against a 19-year-old pace merchant, then there's no contest. He can try to make up for it in positioning, but one ball in behind at the right time and it's game over - especially given the number of balls across the area that have ended up in the back of the net.

Surely Gardner is the best alternative...

I think Tuncay needs a free role in behind NGog. I'm not convinced a Chelsea game on our current run of form is the time to try that out. Eagles will help us keep a more disciplined shape, and to be honest in flashes think he's done quite well!

I wish we could play Kakuta over Petrov in this one. Petrov comes unstuck with any full-back quicker than him. Bosingwa probably is. If he can't kick it up the line and win the footrace he's pretty much done for ideas.

Kakuta will be ineligible to play against his parent club unfortunately.

Edit: I guess that's why you put 'wish', apologies.

I thought they'd scrapped the parent club thing after the Tim Howard shizz between Man U and Everton?

IIRC Howard switched permanently in January and Everton agreed to a clause saying he couldn't play in the subsequent league match. Parent clubs can certainly block loanees playing against them.

Who would you play for Steinsson? And I'm not having that we throw Riley in against a team like Chelsea!
