Well at least you're accepting science over faith anyway. 8)

Scientifically proven by moi over in Other Footie.

Yet you still have faith in jinxing. Primitive.

jinxing works - hexing is its poor six-fingered blackburn-born cousin...

yeah right - we all know you're off to watch downton abbey!

(planet word sounds very like his radio series "Fry's English Delight")

the science of jinxing....
BBC Test Match Special's Ed Smith

"You feel that with no wickets having fallen for a few minutes, and some steady batting, the momentum has slightly swung to England."
a minute later:
14.5 overs WICKET Buttler run out (Sammy direct hit) 13 (Eng 83-8)

And there was me thinking that there couldn't be a worse team than Australia when it comes to the twenty over game.

Props to West Indies, tbf. A lot of inexperienced first-class cricketers, never mind internationals, and their fielding was fantastic for the most part.

The run outs though <headslap.gif>

I still can't believe he was only 52. It seems ages since he played for England.

That's the problem, Lord Kangana, time compresses as one ages.

As you said though, fifty-two is a rotten serving of life.

ok - so we're back on today... listening to the cricket is the ONLY way to avoid the huge hype-up over Wales/France - which just serves to remind me that we're no longer in it

anyway...

England: Cook, Kieswetter, Trott, Pietersen, Bopara, Bairstow, Patel, Bresnan, Swann, Finn and Dernbach

Ian Bell dropped - Bairstow in as a big-hitter... (KP surely has to prove his one day form soon?)

India win toss and will bat...
