fantastic site - and fabby rush hour shot!! I'm impressed that you sell your work - I've never had the nerve to get into that... your media city shot is particularly awesome!!clapton is god wrote:Excellent shot thebish! I love low light photography and am a regular at Salford Quays for 'the Blue Hour' (http://www.bluehoursite.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
This is one of my images over on iStockphoto.com: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo- ... st=0501f7a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you're right - we arrived at the "blue hour" - best blue-hour shot I got was just of the bridge itself...

anyway - a bit grotty by day - stunning by night!! (if you look closely you can see motion blur - the bridge is opening - first time I have seen it do that... they tugged a battleship up river and parked it next to HMS Belfast...)

Bish, I take it that's taken on the South Bank near the Assembly building? Never seen that statue before.

See, I was thinking that it must've been taken outside the Tower Bridge Thistle on St Katherine's Quay (North Bank).Gary the Enfield wrote:thebish wrote:went out last night on a lads' booze and shoot stroll over Tower Bridge and down the south bank.. take a few photos - stop for a pint - take a few photos - stop for a pint... etc...

Also whilst in London went to 'The Power of Making' at the V&A. Sooooo cool. Had AMAZING sugar sculptures, weird 3D printers, just all round cool stuff, and a BEAST of a gorilla 'made' of 'coathangers. I thought it actually was before I went, but is just made of normal wire made to look like coathangers, still really cool!

Worryingly I initially read 'girlfriend' for 'gorilla'...

Stayed in tonight, but tomorrow at Press night of Habeas Corpus by Alan Bennet at the Octagon.
Looking forward to that as ever.
And next Tuesday, at Royal Ex in Manchester, Dagmar Krause sings Brecht, Weill and Eisler, those wonderful German theatre songs of the 1920s-50s. Really looking forward to it - amongst my favourite music ever...

Well none of you will actually be going anywhere because it said on the radio this morning that the world's due to come to an end today, so I'm going to make up some butties, grab a bottle of red and sit on the roof watching it happen.

I'm sure she'd insist on it. I'd better go and eat that clotted cream then - it'd be a shame to waste it!Bruce Rioja wrote:Well none of you will actually be going anywhere because it said on the radio this morning that the world's due to come to an end today, so I'm going to make up some butties, grab a bottle of red and sit on the roof watching it happen.

Won't happen. Russell Grant's still in Strictly Come Dancing and he'd know.Bruce Rioja wrote:Well none of you will actually be going anywhere because it said on the radio this morning that the world's due to come to an end today, so I'm going to make up some butties, grab a bottle of red and sit on the roof watching it happen.
