Megson Watch

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

So was this, but you'd not want it to be yours today ... Image

not sure he'd manage it - them things are complicated - with old gears - there's probably double-declutching involved somewhere!

It's not his fault it was in bottom gear when he was given charge of it.

So who, apart from being Sir Nut, is Chris Riding then?

I really don't want to know who Chris is riding.

Whilst defending his right to do so & all that guff, I think it should be left between the two consenting adults, personally. There'll be photo's next !!

figured you boys would enjoy this
GARY MEGSON claims his Sheffield Wednesday are the Man United and Real Madrid of League One — as everyone wants to beat them.

The Owls boss believes his team are the first rivals looked for on the fixture list.

And he said: "No matter what team it is, we are everybody's biggest challenge.

"I'd imagine it's akin to the Premier League when everyone is looking forward to playing Manchester United.

"United are the size of club that can cope with that, at the moment we're trying to build one that can.

"I don't care which team it was, as soon as the fixture list came out they would have been looking for when they're playing Wednesday. We are the big draw.

"I think there's a great deal of expectation and the history of Sheffield Wednesday points at a massive, massive football club."

"But the reality is that it's a League One club and it's run like one.

"There's a perception that we are the Real Madrid of this division, but we're not.

"This is a shrewdly-run football club but we have to try and get the club back to where everyone in the country thinks we should be."

Megson's side face an out-of-form Exeter side today and will be looking to push on after a mixed run of results.

The Owls beat Yeovil 3-2 last weekend, but were heavily beaten 5-1 by league new-boys Stevenage.

Megson added; "That was the worst performance and defeat that I've experienced since I've been in football.

"I've not seen anything like that, it was a total capitulation."

Megson said he and his side had moved on from the defeat, but others hadn't.

He said: "It shows the stature of this club that we've played another game and yet all everybody wants to talk about is that defeat.

"Ryan Lowe summed it up when he signed for us.

"He said it makes a huge difference to see 3,000 Wednesday supporters following you on the road, whereas you'd get 75 from another club."

For those calling for Coyle's head, please read that article above. The man still makes me angry to this day. Would you want Coyle out and risk having another complete wanker in charge like we had with him?

Who cares about their personality? It's results that count. Look where they are in their league. Look where we are!

All relative though! Nobody expected us to be 3rd. 13th would be nice. Megson managed that, so far Coyle hasn't!

Megson also managed to spend shitloads of cash that we now don't have on coming 13th. 14th and a and FA Cup semi final last year looks like a minor miracle under the circumstances.
