That's just a guess on my part though. In terms of the old guard, he's dropped Steinsson and Muamba, and now Knight. He also dropped Kev until Ngog got injured. Back in now but it's surely only a matter of time.
his arsing about with knight and wheater after this long means he's looking for a problem that isnt there. like he's frightened of dropping the real shite he's brought in. he's going out of his way to mess about with the ones that were ok.
imo , he'dve dropped jussi voluntarily at some point , too. you can see he wants to drop big paul too but carnt coz he's got no other. and alonso's proper bobbins.
the muamba sub at liverpool were terrible . after 20-odd minutes ? wtf .
muamba , coker , mark davies should be on every week til december.
petrov out , eagles out , i'd put steinsson back too just coz he attacks now and agen.
he'll frig about with the team but not see any of his faves out the team.
that his faves are first division shite or overpaid poser lazy wankers , means we're fecked till they sack him.
i'd sack him now , sammy lee style, no waitin'.
Re: owen out
Disappointed to be hearing calls for Owen to be sacked but I can see why they're getting touted around. 7 straight home defeats is enough to get anyones back up.
I don't think its all Owen's fault but he doesn't half make it bad for himself. After all we're playing with 5 brand new squad players in the starting lineup pretty much every week now. These are players that haven't earned their place in the squad over consecutive seasons of performing well, they're just the new guys who are trying to get bedded into Coyle's lineup and tactical play.
I wish Chris Eagles would stop with the spectacular. It's ridiculous. The number of piss poor shots or attempted volleys he tried today was beyond a joke. We're missing someone who holds up play and brings the rest onto the scene, its rush at them and then lose it then rush back and defend. We're getting bombarded by wave after wave after wave of attack. We need an outlet. When Kevin Davies went off we lost that outlet and it wasn't until we had to get back in the game did we start seeing players getting forward.
It's Arsenal on Tuesday then Swansea on Sat. Not arsed about the Arsenal match would be nice to beat them with it being a cup game and all but hey can't get our hopes up.

And risk another Gary Megson taking over? Lets have a bit of sanity ey. AT least we actually like the guy this time!
Re: owen out
yeah, but when they sacked megson (i think he got kinda jipped meself, but whatever) he got the sack because we werent getting wins against the likes of hull and other similar teams at home.Mar wrote:

now, we're not even getting points against the likes of them.
its worse. doesnt matter that they all like him.
at least when megson were falling out with the staff , it were because we werent picking up points and he were kicking off because they were shite and he wanted the points because he were getting the stick and he were trying to find an answer possibly blaming the training or whatever. it might be a shite or wierd environment to work in coz the pressures on, but fecking hell. what now?
oh, we lost , never mind, try again next week. owens a good laugh.
sooner or later muamba and them are gonna get pissed off (possibly like elmander mustve done) because they carnt even get in a shite losing team past lesser players just coz theyre not superbestmates with coyle, and its gonna get worse anyway. the games are runnin' out too.
at least if they sack him they might get reasonable players in and the next guy (souness?, they'll want hughes , but we'll get souness) might know how to set a team up.
dont know how long his contract is , but i carnt see them renewing it. (my understanding is it runs out at the end of the season) if i'm right (about the contract) we're not gonna get a great one in in the first division. may as well sack him now.

Re: owen out
We're a shambles at the minute. As per the moustachio'd bandit Lawro's comments last night, it's not like we're just getting beat at home, we're getting hammered.
The biggest problem with OC is he's a dreamer, a naive romantic. If he thinks we can play 4-4-2 with two genuine wingers in this league, he needs to get off the Irn Bru because the bubbles are affecting his brain. The only way we could be effective playing that way would be to spend £100 million on top-drawer personnel.
It's a sad thing to say, but at our level, this league is about being hard to beat, resolute, well-organized. None of which even remotely describes the current side. I just don't think that, if you actually got to talk to him face to face, he'd admit that. And ultimately I think he has to pay for his naivety with his job.
He should forget Petrov & Robinson forever, only play Eagles or Kakuta against sides in the bottom half, stick Cahill in front of Wheater & Knight to provide a barrier so teams aren't all over our back four as soon as we lose the ball - alongside Muamba & Reo-Coker.
Upfront, play one of Davies or N'Gog their own. Klasnic is a luxury or a last resort - depending on the status of a game.
At least we'd be competitive. I genuinely don't mind losing more than we win, but right now it feels like we're getting laughed at.

The reason you play Muamba is because of his defensive/tackling skills so why would you take them out of the fecking equation?Gail Platz wrote:Maybe because Steinsson makes Robinson look like Roberto Carlos and take off Muamba's defensive/tackling skills and he's the worst footballer of all time?BWFC_Insane wrote:And Muamba and Steinsson must be asking why they've been singled out.thebish wrote:Tuncay must be wondering why the feck we bought him....
Robinson is not better than Steinsson. Other than that, a commendable post.

From a previous thread!
Megson will be p*ssing himself at the great "football playing" team we currently are at least he picked up points!!
I don't give a shiney what anyone else thinks about this but WE ARE AS BAD IF NOT WORSE THAN DURING MEGSONS TENURE! (and probs even less organised).
I stick by this, time is running out Owen "stand and deliver" or please go!Blame the fixtures and the "plot" by the Prem to get BWFC out of it all you like thats balls its down to in my view poor management pure and simple, there is no heart in this team at all, motivation is poor and understanding by the players of each other is not to be seen, again down to the training and manager.
I seriously doubt that Coyle and his croines would be much better off if he had Europes top 11 players in his team!!
Time Mr Coyle to prove a growing number of doubters wrong or jump before you get pushed.

Re: owen out
Or maybe possibly the teams around us have improved due to having more money to spend than us? Maybe there are no easygames in this league. Just maybe we're in a hole that, once we get out of it, will be nothing but a bad memory later. We're not the first and won't be the last to suffer this. Up to yesterday's result, were Sunderland much better off: Fans calling for Bruce's head etc? Let's get a grip hey? I'm pretty sure OC isn't feeling too smug about things right now. Yes, we need a severe shake up, but we lost the game in the last ten minutes during which we gifted Sunderland constant possession. Had we kept them out and got just one scruffy goal, everybody would forget how awfully we played and be celebrating the three points. You're taking Knee-jerk to a whole new level here Hoboh. What next, bed sheets and pitchforks?Hoboh wrote: I don't give a shiney what anyone else thinks about this but WE ARE AS BAD IF NOT WORSE THAN DURING MEGSONS TENURE! (and probs even less organised).

Re: owen out
Let's face it our form over an extended period, last season and this, is certainly sacking form. As it stands we are going down, no doubts about it.
We simply can't afford to and if Coyle can't change things very rapidly, then we as a club simply cannot afford to sit back and let him take us down and potentially risk the future of the club!

Re: owen out
Tango, if we showed any sort of progress towards changing the way we are playing I would be knee-jerking but we are not! To try to justify the loss yesterday as down to "the last ten minutes" is totally wrong, what about the other 80 when we could hardly string 2 passes together and at times made Sunderland look like Barca? (and they wern't really any great shakes).TANGODANCER wrote:Or maybe possibly the teams around us have improved due to having more money to spend than us? Maybe there are no easygames in this league. The Megson era was the pits but at least there was some signs of having half a clue what we were doing, now? Lord knows! I said three games Wigan, Sunderland and Swansea had to produce a min of 6 points, he has 3 from a poor, poor Wigan team and nowt from a nearly as bad Sunderland team, if he draws a blank from Swansea then yeah given the time he's had to create a Coyle team he can feck off for me before we are doomed!

Re: owen out
what players will we still have next season if we are relegated is the question
Re: owen out
I want my money back, at least when McFarland was in charge I expected us to get hammered every week.
That was the worst atmosphere I've ever (not) heard yesterday, we had NOTHING at all to cheer about, and even the thick mackems were silent until they scored.
Coyle might be a nice bloke, but I'd rearrange his wonky smile if I met him.........

Re: owen out
The point wasn't that we played well for eighty minutes Hoboh, we didn't play well all game.It was that after eighty minutes the score was 0-0. It was never going to stay that way with us being trapped in our own box and letting them play pot shots. I made no attempt to justify the loss as in the last ten, it was on the cards long before that.Hoboh wrote: Tango, if we showed any sort of progress towards changing the way we are playing I would be knee-jerking but we are not! How many times have we seen Muamba bombing forward though? I think he must have had about 100 shots on goal and only two have gone in, one against Wigan when we beat them 4-0 and the one against QPR. I wouldn't mind him in the side if he was merely a ball winner but for some reason both Megson and Coyle want him to get up field and attack when he really is useless at it.Worthy4England wrote:The reason you play Muamba is because of his defensive/tackling skills so why would you take them out of the fecking equation?

Re: owen out
For me, it's not so much that's we've lost 12 of our last 14 Premiership games, but the fact that we've looked disinterested and hopelessly lacking belief.
Now, considering Coyle is someone who's portrayed in the media as being a 'motivator' (I'm not even getting into his tactical nous or his apparent lack thereof), he's spectacularly failing at his job.

Yep. Let's face it the only ones who aren't questioning Coyle are the ones who were so blinded by hate against Megson that they lost all sense of reason. And are now stuck with desperately trying to make excuses for why this terrible form is now acceptable. The same ones who kept saying we are 'an established premiership club we shouldnt accept being so shit and have small club mentality it's all Megsons fault'jmjhb wrote:For me, it's not so much that's we've lost 12 of our last 14 Premiership games, but the fact that we've looked disinterested and hopelessly lacking belief.

Seem to be the only ones excusing the most depressingly shit, dull lifeless displays we've seen since we came back to the premiership!
