I was so pleased to see the appointment of Coyle and last season (up to the semi) was by far the best i have seen. Last game for me next sunday. Come on Coyle.
So was I, absolutely loving it to be honest - such a breath of fresh air after the regime of "He who shall not be named but must be laughing his head off right now", and there was no other manager Id want to see succeed with us more after his playing history with us, but its clearly gone very wrong somewhere.
Blame injuries, blame fixtures, whatever, losing 13 of the last 15 league games is not good enough.

Any of them. I'd still rather have Mark Hughes, but I'll take any of them at the minute.CrazyHorse wrote:Eriksson?Beefheart wrote:I don't know why, but I still don't agree. I'm in the 'who can we get who's better?' camp at the moment.
Hughes?

Anyone who's aware of the simplest of tactics when setting up a side.

If we beat Stoke 5-0 then Coyle can have a life time contract.Il Pirate wrote:m_taylor wrote:One last game vs Stoke next week for me. To see if its the payers. If they can't get motivated against the team that kick our ass in April then its really time.

Even a 5-0 victory next week would not negate the fact we are a poor, poor side. We have shown relegation form since last march. We are inept at doing the simplest of things. We can't defend, we have no midfield, we don't score enough goals. On present form we will be down by New Year. We can't afford to wait that long. We can't afford to wait until next week.

Trust me, if Eddie Davies wants to see us stay up, he'll find the money from somewhere.Armchair Wanderer wrote:Can we afford any of those?truewhite15 wrote:Any of them. At least Kean would instill some discipline.

Re: Time to go
I can see it happening after next week, there would be a certain symetary to that.
But if I was chairman I'd be looking at 13 defeats in 15 or 14 in 17 or whatever it is...over a season thawt's relegation, derby style.
Maybe if he rifles through his clearly inept backroom team and gets help, like caps said, but I can't see gartside wanting to lose his premiership chairman status...can see curbishley or mclaren myself, possibly Hughes who probs won't get another better opportunity.

I wonder how many dissenters there will be this week.

Were we not in a relegation situation last time and we end up with hwsnbn?officer_dibble wrote:I can see it happening after next week, there would be a certain symetary to that.

We are NOT going to end up with a big name manager! Simple. We are Bolton. A small club with limited funds (even in big debt according to a lot of folk) hence trying to buy cheap championship players.

Curbishley or McLaren would get us relegated just as quickly as Coyle would, IMHO. I can't see Eriksson having the balls for a relegation scrap. It's either MON or Hughes, got to be.officer_dibble wrote:I can see it happening after next week, there would be a certain symetary to that.

Re: Time to go
Utter fcuking dogshite....totally disorganised, uninterested, i'll disciplined, talentless, spineless, passionless, shambolic....
Coyle is absolutely clueless....totally out of his depth and he will not get us out of this mess - do the fans a big favour & please go now and take your sunday league standard dart throwing, ping pong playing backroom staff with you
13 losses in 15 games, and in most of them we've been totally outclassed, outplayed and outfought.
I don't know what's gone on since April last year, but its not just the loss of Holden - the players look badly coached, disinterested, un prepared and very tactically inept, and they are certainly not playing for the manager.
Its the same problems game after game - Coyle Out Now....and TBH at the moment I'm not arsed who comes in, after Wembley I didn't think that it could get much worse, but within 7 days we've made average Sunderland & Swansea sides look like Barcelona !!

Re: Time to go
Highly unlikely unless you believe this is entirely down to the lack of ability of the players.truewhite15 wrote:

We ended up with Megson because that's who Gartside wanted even before the interviews had begun.m_taylor wrote: Were we not in a relegation situation last time and we end up with hwsnbn?

Keane?????
You have to be fecking joking right?
Apart from being totally bankrolled to get Sunderland out of the Championship (9 mill for a keeper??), he's done feck all. I'd rather give the job to CAPS since he offered..

Re: Time to go
Actually, I think the players are more than capable, they're just being mis-managed. I just don't really rate Curbishley or Schteve all that highly. I'd have Schteve over Alan if I was forced to decide though...Whookam wrote:Highly unlikely unless you believe this is entirely down to the lack of ability of the players.truewhite15 wrote:
