That said they've earned the right for the shirt next time out.
One thing Riley seemed to have in him, is the ability to play balls down the line which would be brilliant for Ngog
The other thing Riley seems to have is that based on that display he's the best crosser we've got in the squad. Which in theory should suit Klasnic and possibly Davies!
Not sure about that.. He had numerous opportunities to put in a delivery, put he only landed one decent one.

saw him play for the ressies against fulham a few month back...similarly, was very very good crossing first time.

I thought he put 3 or 4 really good crosses into the box myself. And that alone makes him better than anyone else we've got.

Early days like.

Ah right.. I didn't even check the bench to be honest! Well in that case, what a great stroke of luck!

I'll stick with this, before proclaimng him to be the next Nicky Hunt.

Chris Basham impressed too, on his first go.

Probably easier to judge when he's been in the team in a game when we get beat TBH.

Indeed, Riley was the key to making that system work for me. When Davies came inside, he bombed on and actually carried a threat in his forward play.

His run and cross that Tuncay was an inch away from at the end was as good a piece of wide attacking play as we've produced all season.

Its very early days but he looked competent and tidy at the back and absolutely superb at times (considering his premiership debut etc) going forwards.

He does remind me a bit of that Coleman at Everton!

Aye but I think praise where praise is due, its one of the best league debuts for a youngster I've seen at Bolton for a long time.

As you say no need to get carried away, but certainly put a better show in there than any of our other rightbacks this season.

His debut was actually at Blackburn!

And he had just been bought for 1M quid from Wolves. Hardly the same as bringing through a lad who has been at Bolton since he was 7!
