Watched 'Kolya' last night... Czech, subtitles... A sort-of tug-of-love story with Eastern European political edges as man marries Russian woman for money and she exits leaving him with her five year old son...

Solid three star film, premise better than outcome, but moving moments and a little comedy and some mildly uplifting docu moments of the Velvet Revolution in Prague... Good enough...

Superb, if you can, watch it on 4OD or something. It will open your eyes and boggle your mind.

Caught it on ITV3. Would agree that Rose comes across as a right calculatig psycho. Thought most of it was pretty well played out to be honest, Emily Watson was excellent too.
