I did think before the semi how prehistoric a lot of em were...mix of booze and day out i guesd. The ones what can use a computer seem reasonable though.Prufrock wrote:See I happen to think quite a large portion of Stoke fans, a larger portion than that of say West Ham, or Spurs, or Sunderland, are properly horrible feckers. Nasty. However, the ones that aren't all seem really sound. Considering they just got a dicking off a team they monstered a few months ago there is some genuinely impressive modesty there. Can't say I'd have been as magnanimous. Conclusion. Their c*nts are worse than most, their all right are far better than most. Stoke. Marmite.

I was stood outside Scott's when they trashed that fence near Harvester. All coz some daft bint with two kids started singing. Our chavs swiftly fled. The bad uns are proper thuggish cnuts. And like you say, the ones who can type seem pretty grounded. Extremes.

My memories too... but the worst two away experiences down there I had were both at Port Vale, whose supporters were clearly the ones that had failed the very low threshold exam to become Stoke fans...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:It was always one of the worst joints to visit on the late-80s circuit
Narrow backstreets at dusk, underpasses to train stations, never pleasant
But, as thebish shows, pretty much good guys once they've learned to get online... And there's my mate Paul and his friends, to prove Stokies are excellent friendly folks...
And, tbh, we have to confess to plenty with a higher than average Neanderthal component...

From what I've read over the years, WtW, we have (or had) our own share of Cro-Magnons. (No pedantic replies, please).

The old Victoria Ground was right up there with The Den to make me piss my pants.
Re: TWSpy Stoke...
I'm sure I've written previously on here about the time me and my mate, Gyp O'Neil, boarded a Stoke coach by mistake (when both seriously pissed). It was after a night match at the Victoria ground, coaches parked on that huge shale car park they used to have. We both had Wanderers scarves on, argued about if it was our coach, ( I was right, he was wrong); but I followed him anyway, down toward to the back of the coach, noticing as we walked, all the funny/aggressive/downright scary looks we were getting, then the red & white colours. We were at the back of the coach when our brains added bunch of violent tw*ts + red & white = a f*cking good hiding.......................................I hate the bastards & hope they go down
