Where are you going tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Spent all afternoon on White Nancy.

Erm.... let me explain.

This is a narrow boat on the canal out of Bollington. A lovely journey between there and Poynton with a meal in good company too.

I've always kind of fancied a narrow-boat canal holiday - it always looks gloriously relaxing... (maybe when the kids have all decided they aren't holidaying with us anymore!)

My Dads been on one. Reckons he was bored shitless as some of the canals where he was (Norfolk) were too narrow to just stop and go for a walk around. Suppose there's only so many miles of canal you can look at before you get bored of it.

Safe to say, he spent most of the time just getting bladdered

Have always fancied it myself, however, have heard many a tale of Pikeys robbing off your boat when moored up.

Perhaps William could donate some of his belongings for the trip ;)

Well, it was alright for two and a half hours. Wouldn't want to make a way of life out of it but there and back with a scoff was a very pleasant way to spend a sunny afternoon.

sad day today...

am conducting the funeral of a dear friend and inspiration, Bob. Amongst so many other things he was a fairly big noise in the Peace Movement... Bruce Kent is coming to the service. I expect the church to be absolutely packed and overflowing - and so it should be...

RIP Bob.. :(

here's Bob with his missus just a few weeks ago on their Golden wedding anniversary...

My condolences, Phil.

Your friend looks full of health there. I trust this wasn't expected.

no... he had a few symptoms - difficulty swallowing food - went for tests - and a couple of weeks later was in hospital with a diagnosis of oesophagal cancer that had spread to the liver and beyond.. inoperable and terminal.. a couple of weeks later he died. :(

Condolences, bish. Sad to lose an inspirational friend and co-thinker.

Was he a Christian also? Or are you conducting the service as a friend (I'm not trying to grind any axe, her).

Tonight - press night of Wizard of Oz at the Octagon.

I'm going to support the theatre primarily, but i bet I end up having a good time. :D

It's a great night, getting a vociferous approving reception. Great one to the kids to - 7-13, I reckon...

Unbelievable.
... edging Bath !! ??

Seriously, Bath isn't the better out of Bath & Wells.

I'm not rubbishing it. It's fine, really, it is, but Cambridge doesn't 'edge' it ... it walks on it, jumps up & down a while, turns & wonders why it bothered.

A trip to Canterbury, York, Edinburgh, Cheltenham are called for methinks.

feck that, just back from a weekend in Girona in Catalonia and that beats everything ever.

Girona is gorgeous. Flew into there when we stayed with friends in Perpignan. Handy for both countries as it's right on the border.

I think we had a thread on this once. Theres way too many beautiful places on this earth to be narrowing it down to a city or a country.

Honestly General, you look much older than that. The bags under your eyes look older than that - must be all the parties you're going to!
