The handbags around me were to do with Coyle, and during the game, not after... One shaven headed fat guy giving it 'Coyle Out' and loads of mad invective - and others around him telling him to shut the feck up, then shoving, threats and stuff...

No bloodshed...

I stood in front of the biggest pair of old screaming moaners in football history today, After 60 minutes of constant whinging at 100 decibels I turned round and lost my rag with them after one screamed about Robinson passing the ball.. shock horror.. sideways. After we'd not had any possession for 10 minutes. Anyway there was no reaction other than to not look me in the eye and mutter 'feck off' or something. He then shut up.

Anyway it was horrific 2nd half, Coyle was outcoached at half time sadly.

Allardyce said: "We changed it round at half time and I told the players that they were attacking the end where we had 6,500 fans who had travelled all the way to support us and we'd not played well enough to get them behind us.
"We changed the system and once we got Freddie Piquionne and Carlton Cole on, it was then that the game changed in our favour. For me, it was only a matter of time before we started to score goals.

"I can call myself the master tactician! It's another valuable three points towards our target and for only the second time we are exactly where we want to be which is 34 points after 17 games.

"Two points a game is going to get you automatic promotion and we are right on the brink of our busiest period with no more international breaks and we are getting the squad fit again."
All is forgiven?

Concise and accurate.

The bit that I really can't understand is this - on the rare ocassion that we're 2-1 up we end up spending the last 20 minutes under the cosh, yet now, even when we're 2-1 down we still spend the last 20 mins under the cosh.

Utter shite.

Perhaps they were at the game supporting the team rather than sitting in front of a computer screen moaning like a bunch of owd wimmen.

Doesn't really matter where they are/were, it's currently looking far from reet.

It is entirely possible to support your team and still think there's one or two things, dramatically going wrong.

I've just read back a few pages and seen a few comments about Ngog not being able to cut the mustard so to speak. When he came on we employed the same dire tactics we had for Davies ie either a big lump up from Jussi or a midfiled ball dropped onto his head, Davies had no joy, so i dont see how Ngog would, when he gets the ball to feet at least he looks like he can threaten and take players on, the problem here then lies that everyone else is static, so it either braks down or goes backwards. West Brom passed and moved throughout, we are too flat and one dimensional. The second half was abismal and I dont think we were all that in the first, but we had to work hard just to keep parity. I think we are probably now an average Championship side at present, Davies has had his time for me, great servant and all that, but we need to start with our strongest and thats gotta be Ngog. As for Tuncay, why did we bring him ? I doubt he's played 45 minutes yet ???

Utter shite.
It's a point, and not just the last twenty minutes. We persistently try to play the offside trap against players much faster then our defence, ie their first goal yesterday, allow them to camp in our half from having too many defenders getting in each others way, have a midfield that's rarely in that area and wallop balls forward when there's one or two players against six.
The amount of times the ball finished up back with Jussi was a joke and it isn't just yesterday.
Add the amount of times Jussi gave the ball to Cahill who was immediately closed down, had nobody in space to pass to, and gave it him right back and it all looks sad. Teams who play passing games are tearing us to ribbons weekly because we've become a totally defensive team and a back-off one at that. We looked more like a team that had just done a fortnight's S.A.S training than one that had fourteen days break.

You weren't even prepared to support them when they won 5-0.

You know nothing about me. Difference between supporting your team and agreeing with everything that's going on by just sticking your head up your anal sphincter.

Seond half was abysmal. They were a yard quicker all over the pitch.
What makes it sadder is it was was the same team that tore Stoke to bits.
It seemed that apart from Cahill and Wheater, who I thought both were superb, there was an apathy and can't be bothered attitude.
We were lucky to escape with a 2 1 defeat and without the 2 mentioned it could have been another 5.
Coyle cannot escape criticism as even when subs came on they didn't change the style. Olsen won everything against Davies but when Ngog came on we continued pumping the ball to him, if Davies can't compete in the air Ngog won't. Long was a real threat and to those who say players from the championship aren't good enough, then I say If the players are good enough then give them a chance.

I can read what you post and it's almost always negative. If that's your definition of 'support', then you're the world's greatest 'supporter'.
