Apparently, Sky cant claim copyright for the football action but they can claim it for all the logos they put on the screen. This (they argue) will prevent pub landlords from showing matches if their copyrighted logos are on screen. It doesn't, however, prevent people from watching a foreign broadcast in the privacy of their own home, logos or not. Now may be a good time to invest in the large satellite dishes businessboltonboris wrote:I thought it was as simple as, she had the right to show foreign TV regardless of what was being shown?

Made me laugh this post Coffey. It's true too.coffeymagic wrote:For all the stick we've had over the past 300 years Everton have done more to kill football than any other team.
Long ball, time wasting (Southall used to waste time at Goodison from minute 1 and Cahill's a noughty wee runt), dirty, smelly, Scouse bast-ok I'm getting personal now but you know what I mean.

You've missed out the schoolgirl squealing at every referee decision. Any contact with the ball above the shin is handball and any incidental contact in the box is a penalty.
I do love it when I hear "We was robbed, la." - well now you now what it feels like.

I can't stand Fellaini either, the dirty get.
Feel better now I got that out.

"... Gary Cahill has scored in each of the last two Premier League matches against Everton at the Reebok Stadium.
Everton haven't won successive Premier League games since April, but that will be the target as they seek to shrug off their now almost traditional slow start to the season.
A look at the stats shows what few goals they've scored being shared out, with seven players having two to their name. What's most noticeable is the absence of Tim Cahill from the list. It's now 23 games and more than 11 months since the Aussie's last goal. What better time to end that drought than in his 250th Everton game?
All four of Everton's league victories this season have come with winning goals in the final 10 minutes.
The Toffees' last victory at the Reebok Stadium came in October 2008, when Marouane Fellaini scored a last-minute winner.David Moyes' side have kept only one clean sheet this campaign (v Blackburn). .... "
Well that's what the BBC are selectively saying, and as we so often seem to help the opposition team and players out of their own doldrums, it looks like a 1-2 loss with Cahill for us and their Cahill and Fellaini for them with one of them being in the last minute of injury time.
I hope not but fate seems to have it in for us, another BBC quote ".... No club has lost more games (9) or conceded more goals (29) than Bolton. Of the eight previous clubs who lost nine of their opening 12 Premier League matches, only Southampton (2001/02) went on to avoid relegation. ..." Can we emulate Southampton??? Today is a good day to start.

Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Down the years, yes. I might have confused you somewhat, I was referring to the all-time record (not the Prem record)Harry Genshaw wrote:Apologies Worthy but I dont understand this statisticWorthy4England wrote:
They are the only team in the Prem (* not looked at this year's promotees) that have a better record at our gaff, than we do.Their record at our gaff surely cant compare with Chelseas or DMBs can it?
DMBs have won 19 to our 25 at the Bok/Burnden
Chelsea have won 18 to our 22
Everton have won 28 to our 27.
They are our bogiest of bogies.
Re: Wanderers Wanderers Wanderers! ~ Everton Everton Everton
That shirley means if we win, making it 27 all, it truly is fortress Reebok (/Burnden)?

On way to fortress Reebok (/Burnden) now!
Quick opening goal, a couple more before half time, and finish 'em off second half. Easy!

They do tend to be fairly close affairs at our place, the last time Everton won at our gaff by more than one goal, was 1963.
Their biggest win I think was 0-5 in 1890. They have got four or more goals five times, the last being in 1957.
Unlike us, they've not got to 6 yet. We won 6-2 in 1888, and our largest win was 5-0 in 1927

Depends which side turns up for us, and whether it plays 90 minutes. If we do, then I could see a draw or a narrow win (2-1), if we don't I could see a lack of morale and a 1-3.
Re: Wanderers Wanderers Wanderers! ~ Everton Everton Everton
They were crap last season so I'm hopeful of a win. This is a MASSIVE game, but again we never know which team will turn up...

0-4I'm not quite that pessimistic, but saying that Everton have managed a couple of wins on the road this year.

I think I possibly hedged my bets somewhat there, predicting a possible draw, narrow win for us and narrow win for them.lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:thanks.my life has been enriched beyond measureWorthy4England wrote:Oh dear.lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:feel sick

To help out on the enriched bit, I'll go 1-2. That should sort it.

I'm going for 2-1 to us, but I was really optimistic for the West Brom game too..

I thought it was only me that had noticed that about Everton fans. They do love a handball. Really tight and going for 1-1 draw (yes really!).

I hope we smash 'em out of sight.
That way we can go back to being a side capable of getting into Europe.
Proper head scratcher this season, but I'll go 3-1 (late consolation for them).

OPTA stats actually show that on measures of loudness, shrillness, girliness and squealability, Everton fans are officially the shriekiest in the Premier League by quite a margin.bettyrasta wrote:I thought it was only me that had noticed that about Everton fans.Wandering Willy wrote: You've missed out the schoolgirl squealing at every referee decision.
