Re: Where are you going tonight?
Docs with the twins for their MMR - not looking forward to that. Seems so wrong to let people stick a needle in your children and hurt them (plus they were both up crying between 3-5am, I know not why, so will be tired and grizzly today) then off to the vets with one of the cats who has been in a fight and has a nasty wound on his chest. Would quite like to fast forward this morning please.

Didn't realise that Unis had got that bad, that some people couldn't read when they got there.William the White wrote:Poetry and Fiction reading at the university tonight. Looking forward to it. Public v welcome - staff bistro on the Eagle campus at 7.30, £4, £2 concessions.

Just been to a multi millionaire's 80th birthday party. I think I'm going to need to scrub off the insincerity with a brillo pad. Wine was shit aswell. Though free. Shame about the strippers turning out to merely be singers in fancy dress. Would have been the highlight of the evening otherwise.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

I'm sort of interested in an amplification of all of this post...Lord Kangana wrote:Just been to a multi millionaire's 80th birthday party. Try the chuletas. Small and succulent, but last time they gave me "nine" on my plate. Goes well with a drop of Marques de Cacceras.Bruce Rioja wrote:El Ricon tonight. Get in. Or, as a Glaswegian would doubtessly say if he had a similar arrangement "Ar cannae farkin' wait"!!!

Cannot believe I haven't noticed them before, Tango. What a great heads-up. Cheers, FellaTANGODANCER wrote:Try the chuletas. Small and succulent, but last time they gave me "nine" on my plate. Clapton - If it was ever going to be anything less than its brilliant self then tonight is that night. There are eight of us there from work, some of whom are travelling a reasonable distance, and all on my say-so.

We actually had a set menu, something I've never seen there before. 16 tapas dishes, then, just as we were all amply full anyway, out they come with with a quite magnificent seafood risotto. The house Rioja is very special too. Worked out at about £35 a skull all told. Time and money very, very well spent. (feck knows where the other £65 went?)
