It's actually always been John Torode that's got on mine. He's not as bad now but he used to display this air of arrogance that made me despise him to such a level that even the way he'd put food into his mouth used to wind me up!

I've met Torode and Wallace. Didn't like em much till I had, but they're really both very pleasant blokes who seemed perfectly amiable and happy to have me pester them for half an hour!

Finally watched the final episode of Curb, I was a bit wary at first knowing some peoples mixed reviews about how Michael J. Fox's Parkinsons is dealt with in the show, but in the end I found it for the most part very funny and of course Leon's contribution to it all was show-stealing as ever!

Finally watched the final episode of Curb, I was a bit wary at first knowing some peoples mixed reviews about how Michael J. Fox's Parkinsons is dealt with in the show, but in the end I found it for the most part very funny and of course Leon's contribution to it all was show-stealing as ever!

The last show was probably the worst out of all 8 seasons!

Watched Ken Loach's Bread and Roses. I'm a sucker for a movie showing workers in struggle and winning. The doc on the making was excellent too. Many of the strikers were played by union activists. Good authentic stuff as Central American workers try to make a living as cleaners etc in LA in 1999, working in some of the richest companies on the planet for wages lower than the 1980s and finally take the decision to resist...

Excellent...

Look forward to Wednesday, and may there be many more of them...

You cant be serious surely! I couldnt stand hardly any of the episodes during that season he was in The Producers, nearly put me off the series!

The Paris bit at the end of the episode was needless and seemed a bit self indulgent, but I liked everything else. You dont think you could stand another few hours of listening to that clearly gay young lad?!

Watched Paris. (Frech, subtitles) this afternoon. Portmanteau movie following four or five separate stories in the beautiful city. With, on this evidence, beautiful women galore.

The central story is a young - male - dancer gets a heart condition that deteriorates and has him hanging on for a transplant. Around this, much observed from his balcony, we see the break up, reconciliation and devastation of families, friends, lovers, marriages in scenes that are funny and moving.

Bit slow at times, bit self-conscious, but we liked it.

Found myself wondering if Pru had seen it, as a Paris aficionado.

I don't think so, though French cinema, and probably literature too, almost certainly my fav, so will add it to my list for the good people. I must say though, I like France more than I like Paris. I loved my time there, and it is an achingly beautiful place, but by the end of my time there it felt very superficial. Great fun, and gorgeous place, full of beautiful girls, but it hasn't got much soul Paris, at least not any more.

Still yet to find anywhere as stunning as the panorama from Pont D'Alexandre at 2 in the morning, but I fear that's one for another thread. Will check out the film.
