Cold Mashed Spuds v Bolton (the official match thread).

That'd be JJ Okocha African footballer of the Year, Captain of Nigeria, Olympic-Gold-winning envy of all but the top four, right?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Thoughts of Spurs prompted a distant memory of Ivan Campo coming forward and lashing a daisy-cutter into the net from all of forty yards. Ah, that was so sweet. :)

It can go one of three ways this game..

We can lose with a bit of self respect and maybe grab one ourselves.

We can get beat with a bit of a damp squib

We can get mothertruckin' t*atted into oblivion
I'm still holding out blind hope for getting absolutely savaged for ninety-three minutes as they hit the bar, post, anything constantly, Jussi playing out of his skin, and then, right at the death, a Fabrice Muamba penalty to win it.

Well, we didn't get a fitting tribute for Lofty!
I was at that Man City away game also... And the penalty scorer...

I would expect you can get fairly decent odds on us ending the game with eleven men playing, but rather shorter odds on the manager saying "After that we left ourselves with a mountain to climb" in the post match press conference.

I would imagine that the odds on the post match comment would be 1/1000 :) i can see robinson getting sent off, lennon is going to terrorise him all game. I can't see any weaknesses in this spurs team at the moment.

Erm yeah he ran the show that day. I think he hit the woodwork loads. Think Nolan scored the winner from a JJ rebound!

I concur. I'm going to sit under the stairs in the dark and not come out until 5pm.

I do not want to know how this game finishes.

We've backed ourselves into a corner now. We've made unwinable games 'must win'.

We are F UCKED.
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

We'll get absolutely destroyed, Dingles will win against Swansea, then we'll be bottom on goal difference.

Spurs 5-0

Looking like ReCo might be out (not certain yet) but Pratley's ready to step up and do the job. Just thought I'd say. :|

Mandatory. Just means if we lose it's because it's to a wonder team and should we win, "what a great achievment by me and the lads".
Where's the bit about what a great chap and wonderful manager Happy Harry is?

Stat of the game: Since the arrival of Scott Parker Spurs are unbeaten. In his 10 games, Spurs have taken 28 points from a possible 30. Stuart Attwell is the ref for the game in his 7 matches so far he's dished out 1 red card and 24 yellow cards.

Context, Bruce. Just like you berating people for reacting to HALF of what Clarkson said, regardez:

The greater context, Gary, is that this happens before every single game, and not within the context of a one-game preview in the local rag.

I'm finding it really hard to be optimistic about this one. We're completely useless against teams with wingers and Spurs have two of the best in Bale and Lennon. Unless these two are both struck down with mystery illnesses or Redknapp loses the plot and decides not to play on the wings and attack the two shittest fullbacks in the division, then we've no chance.
