Might be forced to watch it tonight.... as that was the agreement of me getting it.


Tonight Geordie Shore is Back on for a mini-marathon, It's only 1 episode then a bunch of Reunions/best bits.
Will be taping that, because I need the space on the box for Wednesday nights Manu match.

My middle son thinks Six Feet Under better than both.

Certainly in terms of acting and characterization it's pretty much out on its own. Some of the weighty questions it puts forward make it tougher viewing than any atypical 'gritty' drama. It's a sublime show but a different meal than The Sopranos, say.

Since my last post Homicide's taken a slight dip in quality. They ditched some great actors/characters and replaced them with a single naff one. Shame really.

My favourite show would still be The Shield. Thrill-ride from start to finish; when Forrest Whittaker shows up it just gets ridiculously good.

FTR, only thing near to Wire/Sopranos I've ever watched was West Wing. Dramatically no-where near, but I adored it. So interesting, so good.

Went to the 24 hour K-mart and had a look in Video-Ezy

They have heaps of Japanese Horror Dvds, which I am collecting (But not yet watching). I did watch 25 minutes the other night the movie Weatherwoman (not horror but same Aus dvd company/packaging)

I hid all the dvds I wanted quite good and will sneak back in a week!


flicked on the TV to prepare for more Geordie Shore taping and Kryten is hosting a Show called Scrapheap Challenge, not watching it but it is on.

This Satdy night the Manu match isn't on the main channel, it's on viewer's choice Sucks for me because I edited tape them for a friend and would like the pre match mumbo jumbo (and sometimes when it's not ended early) and the full time stats, and I won't get the chance this time
(because Fox Sports the Dogs show non live matches in an edited form, so the whole broadcast fits into 1 hour thirty Dogs )

The matches on the main channel are these: Liverpool - QPR & Arsenal - Everton

I notice that the rhetoric of the Tory representative has changed. Rather than pull out right now, its subtley cahnged to "we have to make the experiment work". This is actually a good sign they seem to be grasping the nettle that we need to be setting the agenda in Europe, not shying away from it.

I don't think I will ever though unless it is for under $4

But surely the movie is good because a kid vomits? (saw that in a commercial for the movie)

Taped a load of films off of Film4's British Connection series and last night made a start on them. Watched a film called Better Things.
A very good, stark drama set in a Cotswold village that's youngsters have turned to heroin to alleviate the boredom of there lives. No famous actors in it (none that I knew anyway, but then that doesn't count for much) I assume that they casted locals in the main. No storyline as such, twists, plots or owt like that, just a snapshot of lives normally associated with inner-cities being lived out in rural England. Shot very much in the old BBC Play for Today style with precious little background music and good use of natural light. It's filmed in such a way that I found that whereas you empathise with the characters, you don't engage with any of them on any kind of level - you really are just an onlooker.
Enjoyed it overall - well worth 90 minutes of your time.

See, as mentioned, I've seen one of them and as a result of that I'd walk barefoot over hot coals to avoid watching any of the others
