Re: Loan Watch 2010/11
True. Though they have already stolen one from us. Why don't they just loan him to us?
Put it another way then, do any of our current lot look like they might have enough about them to at least trouble the bench this season?

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'd have said Bennett or Connolly from personal experience. Best by a long shot. Rest are nowhere near.

We've no chance of tempting Miquel if the mighty Crewe Alex are after him.

Re: Loan Watch 2010/11
Falkirk drew 2-2 with Ayr...
Some comments about Rhys from the Falkirk forum...
"Then moved of the match saw Bennett nearly break the other post after an amazing run and one two with Higgy."
"Great open game, we are looking good going forward. For me best were Higgy, Fredi, Bennett and Miller."
"Bennett and Higgy's efforts that smacked the woodword would've been goal of the season candidates, had they gone in, etc etc."
I'd say that in every game so far this season the members of the forum have said he's been one of the teams stand out performers for them this season.

Tope update (from my Chesterfield spies): He's been rubbish for The Spireites. Runs really quickly...then no end product.
So no change there then. He's not going to make it, so I'd expect him to be moved on imminently.

...and he played his first game at the weekend in Southend's 5-2 victory away at Northampton, playing the last ten minutes as a sub. He didn't score but apparently looked excellent when he came on. Highlights here:

He was excellent when came on. Big lad for an 18 year old. Very composed. Held the ball up well, brought others into play, had a big part to play in 2 goals! also looks like he has an eye for goal aswell.
I was hugely impressed by him when he came on. Very excited to see him play again.
Sampson came on and looked awesome. Great touch, strong when holding it up, good vision for lay-offs, great positioning and touch of pace. He could be a huge player for us this second half of the season.
That was a champions display. Sampson looks like a very decent player and should definitely start next week. That would be my only change despite moshni getting two goals.
There's pages and pages of the stuff: http://www.shrimperzone.com/vb/showthre ... ited/page2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Sampson looks like he could be a bit special. Large lump who looks comfortable on the floor.

Indeed. I was there. Lovely sunny afternoon, we played football on the park with a few tinnies, as so often the game spoiled it.officer_dibble wrote:southend winning 5-2

Also the cue for a wonderful Tripe 'n' Trotters headline (not written by me): Bell-End of the Pier Show
Followed by a midweek 6-1 battering of Grimsby (with Keeeebaaab's headline: Sixual Healing)

In case your work site blocks that: Mark Connolly goes on loan to Macclesfield, initially for a month.Silkyman wrote:http://www.mtfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0 ... 33,00.html
