Oh and can anyone tell me what they've done to the multiplayer with MW3? I don't like it!

Probably, if you've never played it...

Oblivion has dated extremely poorly, I'd go straight for Skyrim.

If you play Oblivion and think "Oh is this what Skyrim is going to be?" you'll probably never play Skyrim.

A good point Chops. I guess I came from the other way round (Arena/Daggerfall/Morrowind) so Oblivion was a great game of it's time.

Putting aside graphical advances, there's still a fair old game in Oblivion. I racked it up on the XBOX about two months before Skyrim, and enjoyed playing it - didn't finish it - before Skyrim was released.

One thing I would say, is that if you prefer all action and adreneline rush, then neither is probably for you. There's plenty of "story" that you really have to follow in both, to understand what's going on.

Oblivion was mesmeric in its genius. I spent over 100 hours in that game-world...but I wouldn't want to go back now, it'd look horrible.

But yeah, they are both RPGs, not First Person Shooters.

Saints Row: The Third is a game people should grab if they can, astonishingly insane, but mechanically great and fun.

NFS: The Run is one to think long and hard about. It's a marmite game that one, some love it some hate it...I'm in the latter camp.

LEGO Harry Potter on the other hand, such FUN! :D

I only got Oblivion a month ago, and I've been completely engrossed ever since. My Mrs is getting me Skyrim for Christmas, but I'm more than happy sticking with Oblivion for a while yet.

Yes, I think ignoring that Skyrim is undoubtedly more "beautiful" to look at (and the fact that the Oblivion gates can get a bit samey). There's still a great game in there.

Well, given that I think it was worth what I paid for it when it was released - £40-odd quid, then I'd have to say yes. :-)

That's what I thought, so one click later... All I need now is some time to actually play the thing.

Who on earth is Chuck Norris? Is he a hard nut or something? He keeps turning up on my TV advertising some or other video game, trying to look tough. Looks a bit of a prick to me! :conf:

Warcraft, it's a Computer Role playing game.

Never played it.

Tonight or so I felt like dusting off / finding all the cords and putting a footie game on the ps2

You've never heard of the immortal Chuck? In real life he was world Karate champion umpteen times, master of several martial arts and, to the best of my knowlege, undefeated. Didn't go for his films too much, but a real life tough guy. In his case, looks can be very deceiving...

Played Battlefield 3 online for the first time at the weekend.

Died A LOT.

Then died some more.

Then blew up a tank.......one of ours not the enemies.

Then died some more.

Steep learning curve for those like me who have the reaction speed of a pregnant snail!
