We're hit and we know we are: Bolton vs Jackburn

Perhaps you should tell me why you didn't react in the same way to all the Megson bil? Considering we are much worse now than then?

Is it cos you are a hypocrite? Or is there a deeper reason I'm missing?

I think we'll lose.
We'll probably get relegated...

..but i'm actually looking forward to this match! Loser leaves town in my book. Anyone else from the board off to this one??

React with what? I'm not really sure what your going on about.

I have already said that things are not good.

Regarding your quote about Coyle, should we leave it to memory?

I don't recall you asking posters incessantly calling for Megsons head to 'lighten up'

And there was a lot more of that back then even with a PPG manager than there is now with the Sammy Lee esque points tally we are heading for!

See what I mean, you go round in a circle. The past is the past. Megson has gone he is not coming back as a Bolton manager, you need to move on and get over it.

Leaving the quote alone still or want to correct me?

See, I know everybody (including me) hates it when folk say they want us to lose. And I will watch, between my fingers, desperate for us to win. And I would love it to kickstart a winning run to drag us up what is still a close division.

But I have a sinking feeling that a win here would mask inadequacies and give the Coyle era more false hope and precious time. The QPR win was supposed to herald a bright future; it didn't. The Wigan win was supposed to be the start of the revival; it wasn't. The Stoke win was supposed to lay the ghosts and allow us to move on; it didn't, unless we've moved into a subtly different era of tactical ineptitude.

Against a luckless, leaderless and allegedly lucreless Blackburn, I think we could win, but I doubt it would start a run, and I fear it may grant an inept regime a further month, by which time it will be too late to sign players and perhaps too late to save our season.

Seven seasons ago West Brom bucked a trend by being bottom at Christmas and surviving. But after a Boxing Day clubbing at Anfield, Bryan Robson's side only lost thrice in 14 games. I'm very far from convinced that Owen Coyle's Bolton could do the same thing.

Get a room you two.

This is the battle for bottom at Christmas.
Three nil to Dingleburn.
Throw a six to start team selection.
We'll have a mountain to climb.
A couple of yellows.
Both managers to still be in a job on Christmas morning.
And I'm working Wednesday so I'll have to cope with it all sober.
Businesswoman of the year.

We could win it, they are really poor...

But like DSB I fear that would just be another false dawn...

Remind me, what was the difference in the dates between the respective posts.

Why do you also feel the need to bring Megson up again? Here have a song just for you...

3-0 b/burn....

Their players will be up for it they will play with pace & tempo, our shambolic, pedestrian, uninterested, disorganised shower of overpaid sh*te will role over as per fcuking usual

But don't worry our chairman isn't - he thinks there's nothing to worry about as its part of this so called 'long term plan' that involves keeping Owen chuckle, going down with under 20 points and alienating the already severly pis*ed off fan base - because he knows best !!

When I first heard the line-up at Fulham, with a phalanx of central midfielders across the park and SKD and Klasnic up top, my first thought was 'well, there isn't a goal in that lot'. Then it occurred to me that we'd turned up for a nil-all draw, and fair enough - why not? However, the idea that midfield would shield the back four just didn't happen, and to base a strategy/game plan on us being able to keep a clean sheet is nothing other than ludicrous.

If Coyle fields the same team again, or anything approaching it, we will lose on Tuesday. My money's on 1-0 to them, with Yakubu getting it.

Yet another defeat on the card. Blackburn are fighting. We're not. I can honestly see us losing every single game between now and May. The thought is horrible.

Pretty much what I thought. But he nearly got it right - if it wasn't for that pesky 'minute's madness' we'd have nicked a point.

Going for 1-1 this time as each team hammers a big nail into the other's coffin.

It would be as bad if:

1/ They showed some fight
2/ Coyle admitted that he is wrong about formations and picked anything other than 442
3/ Suddenly started to coach his defence
4/ Suddenly started to coach the midfield
Pfffft.

Don't know if you went yesterday, Chief, but you really had to see the lethargy to believe it. I'm told that it even had Alan Gowling despairing.

Bottom of the table - two nil down - couldn't give a flying feck - any of them.

600 people made the effort to get there yesterday and sit through it in freezing conditions, many of whom will have done about £100 each in, in total, at a time when most can least afford to do so.

A lack of ability and being beaten by better sides I can live with - a lack of effort is absolutely unforgivable on any single level.

So, I may have driven to London and back yesterday, but they can fecking well keep it on Tuesday, if they can't be arsed then I can't be arsed even nipping over the moor, and I'm going to watch it in the nice, warm pub. feck 'em.
