Bottom of the table - two nil down - couldn't give a flying feck - any of them.
600 people made the effort to get there yesterday and sit through it in freezing conditions, many of whom will have done about £100 each in, in total, at a time when most can least afford to do so.
A lack of ability and being beaten by better sides I can live with - a lack of effort is absolutely unforgivable on any single level.
So, I may have driven to London and back yesterday, but they can fecking well keep it on Tuesday, if they can't be arsed then I can't be arsed even nipping over the moor, and I'm going to watch it in the nice, warm pub. feck 'em.

Pencilbiter and I were out of our seats and off, so didn't see any of this, but I've seen a pic of Knight having a right old hoot with one of them on his way off.BWFC_Insane wrote:

That's just it, isn't it? There's no passion from any of our lot. Either that, or a severe lack of confidence. Either way, it's exacerbated by abysmal management and coaching. Time and time again teams waltz through our midfield. Jussi boots it up to Kev, who loses it, and suddenly, in the middle of their own half, the opposition centre backs find themselves facing Cahill or Knight, with great swathes of space between them and our keeper. Our midfield goes missing inexplicably. This could be resolved by simply playing with a deeper line (which is basic tactics. Any moron who's ever watched a game of football knows that the way you combat pace is to play a deep defensive line, where the opposition can't exploit the space behind you) and by playing a five man midfield with the drive, the energy and the organisation to help out the defence, and to be able to get up the other end of the pitch and look like they've got a modicum of knowledge how to score. From what I've seen, Ngog could function perfectly well as a lone striker with the right midfield support. Yet Coyle can't see this. Or refuses to address it. It's criminal.Bruce Rioja wrote:Don't know if you went yesterday, Chief, but you really had to see the lethargy to believe it. Couldn't agree more, but I opted out a few weeks earlier. Was offered freebies v Everton and Villa, but couldn't be bothered turning out, 1st time ever I've missed Blackburn away but would rather watch at home.

I'd prefer a game similar to the Jussi/Campo one in 2006 to the Clattenberg one in 2008.
If possible, please.

I mentioned on here when I got back about how high up the pitch Cahill and Knight were in the build up to their second, seeing it again on MotD horrified me all the more. Like you say - it's so fecking basic it hurts. We're just sitting ducks for any side right now. Even when Robinson isn't playing, thus removing the nice person-it-into-that-corner-as-the-left-back's-shite option for them, teams still find all the time and space they want behind the back two anyway. We can see it - why can't the bloke in charge?

Re: We're hit and we know we are: Bolton vs Jackburn
Interestingly enough, and I won't mention his name because I know you don't like him (however I think his insights are amongst the best in football) one pundit was talking on the radio about how certain teams are able to play a high line and harry successfully in midifeld.
Unsurprisingly, he said the first requirement was a backline who were confident on the ball and pacey. Its a reall shame that this may apply to Cahill (though again, I take onboard your thoughts about him, I can only add he looks 10x the player when he plays alongside Terry), but most certainly doesn't apply to any of the rest of them. The pundit also added that you needed a midfield that could hold the ball once recovered. We seem to have neither at the moment.
Now interestingly enough, said pundit said that his back fours (and he's had a few) generally decided themselves, based on their own ability and confidence, whether they dropped deep or played high - a happy medium was sometimes reached when he had mixed ability on his hands.
Now what I do wonder is whether, as has been mentioned before, too many of the p;ayers are offered a free reign in terms of tactics? For example, Cahill is going to look good playing a high line (even if we lose) because there will be plenty of occassions where he will pull the Hollywood saving tackle out of the bag. Is it perhaps that the coaching team are allowing too much influence from a small cabal of players? After all, our (on paper) best defender, midfielder, goalkeepr and forward don't really by rights belong in the same team.

We've played a high line all season whoever is deciding it Coyle is paid a lot of money to realise it's a major disaster.
I suspect that Coyle has completely lost the dressing room anyhow!

Lawrenson convinced Blackburn will hump us.
2-0 to us.
Both goals by Eagles
we then go on a dizzying run of 5 straight defeats.... again

Well Trotters,Merry Xmas you filthy swines...what a shower of shyte we both are!
I'm that fookin depressed at the moment I dont care if you hump us 5-0 if it means that evil b'stard 'TEFLON' Kean is gone from Ewood come Wednesday morning
Be happy with the consolation that you dont have the 'loons from Pune' ripping your club to pieces.....
Pass me 't fookin Moonshine Buck!
