OWEN COYLE vowed to axe some of his Bolton flops after they slumped to an eighth defeat in nine home matches.

The Wanderers boss was so angry he even came out with a contender for quote of the season.

Furious Coyle blasted: "When you shoot yourself in the foot, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth!"
Boltom were booed off and Coyle admits he is fed up with his under-performing stars.

He stormed: "I am not going to watch the same mistakes cost us every week.

"The two goals were self-inflicted and that is hard to take.

"I feel frustration, anger, whatever you want to call it.

"We have given the ball away under no pressure. Soft is an understatement."
The prick blames his players again, could be right about the ones he bought giving it away so why play him Owen?

Oh and just for all you "it ain't Coyles fault its the injuries"
Boss Alan Pardew has been operating with a wafer-thin squad and with injuries starting to bite could really use some funds in January.

It is bad management. People respect honesty, consistency and fairness and he's showing none of this.Is he blaming Eagles heavy first touch having just come on, Mavis not tracking the runner(inevitable as Mavis was fading anyway as he generally does and should never be in the engine room 70 mins in) or robbo for not cutting out the cross. Or is it the second goal, Robbo again then cahill poor anticipation. He doesnt have enough fit available players to start throwing his toys around. You cant spend your time being Mr Nice then suddenly be Mr Nasty. The classic approach is tough manager kind assistant but I dont even know who are assistant is or how he impacts on management.
Surely he should have said we did well for 65 mins and accepted his sub was an error.Players and fans can respect that.He could praise Robbo for fighting still inspite of his form and admit that he needs a rest and Ricketts can come in.Most of all he needs to admit that we are in a dogfight and need to organise our team appropriately even if it is against his principles. For once for an hour I thought we'd done that.We dont have the creativity to break the deadlock in a tight game so get organised, keep a solid shape and try to nick something from a set play. I know it's what we hated about Megson but when Megson was managing it was the sense that he had players available that could do more and he was overly negative in games where we could win. Coyle seems hell bent on doing the opposite when he doesnt have players capable or confident enough to make it work.Having a post match rant wont improve that confidence and not admitting he's messed up wont build respect or team spirit which ultimately is our only hope of staying up. With the money available signing 3 players in January will only bring in players of the standard of Mears, Eagles, Tuncay,it would buy one NGog.It wont change what we have significantly. Only better organisation and and management of what there is can give us a chance.

He's lost it. And he clearly completely believes his own hype...

Most dangerous period our club has faced for a long time. Coyle is like a silent assassin. Doing far more damage than any other manager I care to remember...

What is it, 8 defeats in 9 at home.

That ST is looking really good value.

Meantime our failure of a manager who has let all us paying punters down continues to stay in his very well paid job.

I'm sure even you can see why that vexes me....

So its value you "value" the most then?

Perhaps somebody could do a £'s-spent-per-point gained of our last, say, five managers to see when you were happiest then?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Oh goodie, you'll be able to pass insightful comment about how thing's aren't too bad and we're just being dramatic, based on updates in the score on Teletext, if you do that.

Agree with earlier post that at this point Coyle has to ride this ship either into the ground or to a miraculous survival. The die have been cast lads, hopefully don't come up snake eyes ....
