Seeing as bobo had a marathon session watching Nigella last night, I imagine his right arm is probably still too weak to be able to even change channels to catch this.
thanks for trying LGM, it's appreciated. However, CH was right & I've only just stopped staring at the screen from Monday's (sigh) Nigella.

Have I missed anything ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

You wouldn't advise people to see it then? Fair enough. Personally I think it's an excellent piece of work that drags the viewer around from laughter to horror and visits most places in between.

No, wouldn't advise people not to watch it....just don't think its the masterpiece people make it out to be....same goes The Shawshank Redemption.

I absolutely love In Bruges and will probably still watch it even tho ive seen it a dozen times and have it on DVD. Im also a huge admirer of Black Swan, incredible film, spellbinding.

Btw, if you like In Bruges, you should check out The Guard.

So - what has been everyone's favourite film of 2011 then? (no point starting a new thread)

There's been some gems this year but for me, probably Drive, with Snowtown as a very close runner up.

The Guards the Irish one where he takes a load of confiscated drugs at the start, isn't it? If so, yeah, top stuff. Same actor aswell yeah?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

It's not been a great year at all for films. Drive probably just takes it for me.

Is on my LF list but isn't released until the 16th.

Watched In Bruges last night for the umpteenth time with a mate that hadn't seen it. Film4 had chopped that many bits out of it that I ended up having to explain the run-up to certain events to him. Why do they do that? You're either showing the fecking thing or you're not?! :conf:
