Got it!thebish wrote:errr... (as others pointed out, it may be bollox) - BUT - the article SAYS that Coyle "hoped to have one of Andre Villas-Boas’s squad men as part of the (Cahill) move." If he knew the rules he'd have no such hope. Get it?Sponge wrote:What do you mean? That's mentioned in this mornings BBC roundup of gossip:wanderers_on_tour wrote:Colleague of mine says were in for a centre back from Crawley according to The Sun...I think he was being deadly serious as well...
Bolton could turn to League Two side Crawley in their search for Gary Cahill's possible replacement. The Trotters are considering a £1m bid for centre-back Kyle McFadzean to replace Cahill, who is wanted by Chelsea.

Sounds like just the signing we need, a League Two defender to replace an England international.

If we sign him there is absolutely no logic it in, how do you expect a league 2 player to replace one of the best cb's in england

Well, if you wanted to then you could also class Cahill as a Villa reserve.jmjhb wrote:Sounds like just the signing we need, a League Two defender to replace an England international.

Perhaps you'll lend us the cash to buy another England International then?jmjhb wrote:Sounds like just the signing we need, a League Two defender to replace an England international.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Two new rumours that I haven't seen on this thread:
http://www.thescratchingshed.com/2012/0 ... -to-white/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Aidan White from Leeds - A 20 year old left back who ticks most of the boxes (Young and attacking). It should be noted that Arsenal are also being linked with this lad. He is out of contract at the end of the season so would still warrant a fee.
The other I read on Alan Nixon's Twitter thread. Jesé Rodríguez - An 18 year old winger from Real Madrid compared to Ronaldo on Wiki. Not yet made his full debut for the first team but that is not surprising with the players they have got at their disposal. It doesn't say whether this is loan or permanent but I cannot believe that this would be anything other than a loan.
This is one of a few You Tube clips of him.

Jese looks a talent but what's the chances of us getting him ? Surely he would go on loan to a better club

Zamora has just given Fulham the winner, you can add a million to that price tag of his and consider us out.

Chris Smalling at manure was playing in the Isthmian League 2 or 3 seasons ago.. Not the worst defender in the prem by a long shot. Is the Isthmian League even lower than conference?
Picked up by fulham and then united came in and bought him for 10 mil.

Where was Chris Smalling 2 years ago? People have been waxing lyrical about this McFadzean lad. Liverpool have had scouts watching him too. Obviously has something, but it smacks of another 'hidden gem' signing that Coyle so loves. Only one has worked out for us. Some left winger from Blackpool has been linked too

Another Rodrigo possibly? Or even another Kakuta, Coyle gets him on loan and then he makes about 4 appearances.malcd1 wrote:Two new rumours that I haven't seen on this thread:

I just hope we get someone pacey for the right wing, and someone who can actually defend at full back! Also can we get in some new defensive coaches please?

Fulham manager Martin Jol has dismissed reports that Bobby Zamora will leave the club during the transfer window.

I believe Jese is held in higher regard by Real Madrid than Rodrigo was.
