Davis could possibly feature from the bench.

Re: Silkmen v Trotters (match thread)
Have been thinking - might we not be better off playing Lynch in goal to give him some first team exposure?
If Jaaskelainen doesn't sort his thigh out and Lainton's not fit, then it exposes us the prospect of Lynch being on the (and maybe having to come off the) bench at Old Trafford!

Coyle has said Jussi will be fit for Old Trafford... As long as he gets a few more days rest.

From a BBC 'news' report Verbal posted elsewhere:
Owen Coyle said rather than wrote:Gary Cahill will be one of those to miss out on the game, and it's nothing to do with the continuing speculation regarding Chelsea. He's one of a number of players that probably needs to rest given the amount of games they've played.

About a mile and a half. Unfortunately there's only 13 pubs along the way.P.O.S. wrote:I take it its walking distance from the train station to the ground? Very much looking forward to this

That was very much an abberation.Jokers in White wrote:Can't see us losing this against this shower of shite, Accrington beat them 4-0 last time out. There will be no magic in this tie 5-0 Bolton, pipe and slippers job.
Before then we had one of the top three defensive records in the division. then we had all the injures and suspensions hitting at the same time. Out most influential centre back, Nat Brown, was suspended. His partner at CB, Shaun Brisley, only lasted 45 minutes with injury (and might be back for Saturday) and our left back had missed the last game 48 hours earlier with illness.
Accy still only managed five shots on target all game but scored with their first four! Before this our goalkeeper has 11 clean sheets and was nominated for League Two player of the month for December!
Al in all a day to forget, but then out record against Accrington isn't much better than wigan's against United.
We've only let in seven in 14 at home, so if we can keep that up, it shouldn't be a demolition at least.

The grounds in a quaint little spot on the edge of town, I quite like Macc the town its self it looks nice (except the bloody ring roads)P.O.S. wrote:Silkyman wrote:About a mile and a half. Re: Silkmen v Trotters (match thread)
There's a few more pubs and bars if you head into town too. Turn out of the station to the left and follow that to the end. Get to the war memorial and left takes you towards the ground and right takes you into the bottom end of town where there's a wetherspoons and a couple of other pubs and bars within a few hundred yards.
You're rarely more than a half decent goal kick from a pub in Macc.

We don't need a new centre-back, we have Wheater, according to Reo Coker in today's B.N.

Aye to counterbalance that though, we also have Knight....TANGODANCER wrote:We don't need a new centre-back, we have Wheater, according to Reo Coker in today's B.N.
Re: Silkmen v Trotters (match thread)
not quite what it says! NRC says Wheater can replace Cahill. if that happens - then we will need a CB to replace Wheater's understudy role....TANGODANCER wrote:We don't need a new centre-back, we have Wheater, according to Reo Coker in today's B.N.
Re: Silkmen v Trotters (match thread)
Looking forward to this one. Off to it with a few neutral mates who live there and then for a night out in Macc after the game. The old school terracing should be good fun.
Re: Silkmen v Trotters (match thread)
Oh, and as for the team/match? We need to win it and win well. Pick as strong a team as possible so they can keep working on combinations, and keep building a bit of confidence

Surely Ream will be the understudy?
