I think it might be Onuoha's intention to try and stay in the North West though as his mum has been really ill plus she's his agent
His cousin does alot of work for him agent-wise. I know him & he's confirmed the interest from QPR, Sunderland & Everton.
Nothing from us as yet though :-/

Well, I'd be amazed if he just sits & awaits the calls. Is he not able to pick up the phone himself !??!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It'll depend on the Cahill deal though. Which is a shame because he'd be perfect for us and think he would compliment Wheater well
Pfffft.

Or maybe he isn't interested himself? Especially on the basis that the 3 already interested parties will 100% be offering better wages than us (on perm deals - not loan deals)
He wouldn't tell me that.
He often tells me 'footballers aren't interested in certain clubs, then a certain wage offer arrives which changes everything'.

Time will tell, eh.

Was just thinking of the (very broad) similarities between two players whose families relocated from Africa when they were young... different too of course, they left under very different circumstances...

Three As at A-level though, that's reasonably impressive...

I think we can forget about us signing any player from one of the 'big' clubs. They would want more money than we could afford as we are working on a shoestring (Relatively speaking of course).

We may be able to scratch together £2.5m to sign Onuoha but if we won't/can't afford to pay his wages then he isn't going to come to us. I think Onuoha will fall into that bracket.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

Tbh no one really knows anything about the lad, few articles on the mirror and in the guardian say he's a good fit and then there was one article from espn or bleacher report (something american anyway!) saying he should stick to the MLS. Is a bit of a pot luck signing either but the fact he trained with the team over here and still gets Coyle's blessing can surely only be a positive.

I wonder if we're interested in Jordan Rhodes. Scored 5 so far tonight for Huddersfield.

I've just seen this. Every time I've seen a Huddersfield score this season, he's been amongst the goals. I think West Ham had a bid of around £3-4m turned down a few weeks ago.

I've always been a fan of going for a lower league striker banging them in. Like Dean Ashton at Crewe and Darren Bent before he went for about £3m to Charlton were smashing goals in left right and centre. I always think it would be a sound investment to go for someone like this. I would be delighted if we spent the Cahill money on him.
