Re: Silkmen v Trotters (match thread)
It does look like a preseason game, no urgency at all but plenty stuoidity on show particularly in our back four.Knight and Wheater are far to similar to be an effective pairing. Hope this Ream lad has some pace.
Only Reo Coker is giving the impression of giving half a toss.

It's a back four that oozes goals rather than class.Ianmooreslovechild wrote:particularly in our back four

On the freeview on the official website OC was saying he picks the formation depending on which players are available. I'd guess that if SKD is playing it has to be 4-4-2. If he's not in our first XI in the EPL I guess he has to play in the cup against League 2 sides. For me, he's not been as bad as he has been recently, he's even getting some freekicks in his favour.
There's plenty of options on the bench! COB!

Would be a good idea to take Wheater off if we arent too bothered about this game.Only needs one mistimed tackle to get sent off and suspended and we're hardly bllessed with central defenders at present

They're getting more chances than us. Not looking good.

Do our players care? Does OC care? I'm seeing no urgency...
Re: Silkmen v Trotters (match thread)
I would take most of their team over ours.

If Pratley isn't up to the speed against this lot what exactly IS his speed ?

I love Winter!
We get awful Winters here, not cold enough.
It was Cold enough 18 years ago or so, what with Global Warming and all
But England would probably be a bit too cold for me!
