not really... that was just an IN THEORY 5 miles - I only ACTUALLY ran 3.5miles!!!
I always reckon after the first few miles running actually gets easier.... Push it up to 4 miles Bishy!

will stick to the current route for now!

I drove a 9hr round trip to take big Son back to uni today... when I got back - having been sat in car all day - my first thought was that I needed a run!!

so I did....

I pushed myself a bit - lengthening my stride, and still fell short by 11secs of breaking the 30min 5K... :(

still - I do feel better for it!

(it was pitch dark - so I wore my flashing L.E.D. armband - and the country lanes were pitch black - I am glad I did!)

good on ya! Running's a great way of winding down after a day in the car. Glad to see you're keeping it up.

I started my Marathon training tonight. 4 x 1500m with 10 squat intervals followed by sprints. Tired but happy. Long runs start on Sunday.

How much recovery between the reps GtE?

Wish i'd gone for a run tonight now. Decided to stay in and watch Arsenal instead. Bad move. Could have done with clearing my head.

I mean reps. 30 minutes continuous effort of 4x 1500m with 10 squats to break up the reps. And so to bed.

I don't think he needs any encouragement from us. He's got the running bug.

10 miles done. Feel really good as it was bang on 9 minute miling which was exactly what I intended. Good foundation for what's going to be a tough few months.
