Don't know how correct this is:

Man Utd considering hijacking Gary Cahill's move to Chelsea FC
"according to The People on Sunday, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keeping tabs on the England international's proposed move to west London."

Kompany banned + Cahill for sale down the road = RUMOUR
Although I think they were sniffing around in the Summer before deciding to back Kolo Toure and buying Savic instead.

Well, I know at his level he should be a self confident guy, but going there could just lead to prolonged bench spells.Athers wrote:Kompany banned + Cahill for sale down the road = RUMOUR

Maybe he'd be happy with that, but I just doubt it.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
given that we have accepted the £7mill bid from Chelsea - presumably there is no chance of a bidding "war" - as the others will just bid the same - have it accepted and then thrash out personal terms with Cahill?

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Indeed, Bish. We've accepted £7m so the auction's over.
Talk the other day was of nouveau riche arrivistes PSG targeting Kolo Toure. That may or may not be linked to the Cahill -> Citeh rumour.
Athers - yeah they sniffed then switched in summer.
Maximum four posts before someone says "swap", then another five before BWFCi angrily discounts the possibility...

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Arsenal offer basically less than that this summer - when the bid failed the board was full of gooners (especially some chap called anti-lock braking system or something) saying they would get him in January for next to nothing? Seems a fair price to me at this point - whoever gets him.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Indeed, Bish. We've accepted £7m so the auction's over.
