Coyle needs the money to bid for Hoilett...TKIZ! wrote:Bit daft to get rid now on the eve of us playing ManUre, eh? PLus I thought there was like an offish FA midday day deadline for him being signed so that he could be at Chelsea over the weekend?
Cahill is going down for a medical now.
We can move on now.

All the best Gary Cahill. Do us proud at Chelsea where you will be a huge success no doubt. Hope we can get a few players who can keep us up with your transfer fee.

Didn't Alan Nixon say the deal was off? It can't be true then.

Well, it's taken 136 pages, so can't be said to have been a rushed job.
Bless him, hope he does well & we can be proud of him.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

No matter how long the deal has been in the works and although I an pleased he is moving on to bigger and better things (whilst we'll be left with a very healthy 7 million) theres still something quite gutting in reading "he'll be introduced to the stamford bridge crowd before the sunderland game", truly will always be 'our gary' and along with Sturridge gives us further incentive to want the blues to do well.

Gary Cahill, probably one of the best 'balling player' defenders we've had in a while. That goal against Citeh and the one against QPR will live long in the memory. Good luck Gary and try not to bang into many against us in the return leg at Stamford Bridge
Pfffft.

Like his professional attitude through it all and the way he stated till anything changed he was a Bolton player and would give 100 percent for us. Shame in a way that every time we get a class player the moneybags take them away, but that's the nature of the beast. Adios and the best of luck fella.

According to 5 live, medical this morning, terms agreed. Interesting qiote from MON who reckons Villa have a sell on clause in his contract, although maybe he was just trying to cover up the fact that he couldn't spot a decent centre half when he saw one.

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Very happy with the way Cahill has conducted himself in the past few weeks. Delighted with his attitude and commitment on the pitch too, demonstrated by his parting present against Everton.
Best of Luck Gazza, you will get a warm welcome next time you play us.

It's dragged on but finally looks like it will be done. I hope it's around the £7m originally quoted and not down at £5m. Hopefully Coyle has done all the 'groundwork' on an additional target (I really hope Onuoha comes) I know Ream is due to sign but who knows how good he will be. Onuoha's being priced at around £3m so I would love to spend the rest on a decent striker.

Model professional is an understatement. Class act springs to mind. All the best Gazza.

Fair play to him, he's a great lad and deserves to be playing at the highest standard, good luck to him
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Don't hold your breath on that one, 5 live also reported on 2 separate programmes today that Coyle will not be given the money to spend as it will be used to service the club's debts. I suspect 48 hours will see that one debunked.
