Re: Kevin Davies
As much as I've been critical of him, I think KD coming good for a period this season and revisiting his old form is still our best chance of staying up...

Re: Kevin Davies
I'm bothered that he thinks his contract will be sorted out in "the coming weeks and months". No Kev. If you pull your finger out of your arse/roll back the clock 3 seasons you might get offered a deal. As it stands we are going down and you are being pensioned off. We will know in May and sort it then...not turn up for a few matches and get a deal.

Deluded....
Anyone who seriously thinks that KD can just flick a switch and start playing like he did 2-3 seasons ago is seriously deluded - unfortunately he's finished, slow and old just not good enough to play premiership football
Get over it, he was good for a while but not any more - time to move on

Re: Kevin Davies
The bloke's admitted he's been struggling to perform and if he does get a contract extension it'll be for one year and probably as a sub, in which he's said he'll give it his best when used. Just can't see why it's necessary to keep kicking shit out of a man who's been a real White's hero for so long. At least let him go out with a bit of dignity.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Kevin Davies
TD - IMO its nothing to do with him struggling for form, he's 34/35 years old, too old & too slow - there's no form to find, no ones saying he can't go out with dignity, but with each passing performance he's tainting the good reputation that he had.TANGODANCER wrote:The bloke's admitted he's been struggling to perform and if he does get a contract extension it'll be for one year and probably as a sub, in which he's said he'll give it his best when used. IMO I also don't think that there's any chance of him getting a contract extension at BWFC - unless its on the coaching staff on massively reduces wages.
Time to move on....

He only needs to find the form he had in March 2011 when we played Brum in the cup...
Re: Kevin Davies
even Tango would have to admit this would be soooooooo perfect though!!! Imagine the fun to be had on KUMB!!
Bolton skipper Kevin Davies has put former boss Sam Allardyce on alert at West Ham after admitting he does not know whether he has a future at the Reebok Stadium.
The 34-year-old forward has lost his first-team place as the Trotters scrap for Premier League survival.
His axe has not gone unnoticed by Allardyce who is on the hunt to sign a new striker for the Championship promotion hopefuls and is believed to be interested in the one-time England international.

The site almost melted when Diouf was training with them.

This would be all too perfect. If he went there, he would become my favourite player again, like he was four years ago when he was actually a decent player.thebish wrote:even Tango would have to admit this would be soooooooo perfect though!!! Imagine the fun to be had on KUMB!!

Tango I don't pick many barneys with you but Davo ain't a prem player any more, Coyle should do the decent thing and quiatly let him go! He will always have a place in our hearts, Munich being one of the bigest! Re: Kevin Davies
The BeN interview's online
He's said nothing wrong and a whole lot right.I just feel right and ready. I'm not one to give up the fight. Of course, I want to do it for my future. But I also want to do it for this club and to get us out of the bottom three. I have got this hunger now and I want to get back in the side. I can only try to give the manager a headache by working hard and doing the right things.
It's January and there is speculation about all players out of contract and I'm no different. There's been nothing offered here as yet and I have no idea what the future will be. I understand the position we are in the league and there are a number of players out of contract. In the next few weeks and months I am sure the club will be making a decision on those players. And I am one of those players.
You read things and I guess you are playing for contracts. I can only say I will be doing my utmost to work hard for this football club and to get the club out of this position. And if we get into a healthier position and I can get back to performing to a decent level, then I am hopeful we will get a renewal here.
[on being sub]
It's something I have not been accustomed to over the last eight-and-a-half seasons and it's been hard to adjust to not being involved. It's been difficult to take but I am at the point where I am ready for the fight to get back in the side and to help this side get out of the position where we are. What comes on the back of that will happen. If nothing comes here I will fight to get somewhere else.
[on the Macc replay]
For me, it was an opportunity to go to try and perform. It was great to get the early goal and I thought we controlled the first half. But I think everyone was frustrated by the performance in the second, especially the fans. We let our standards drop and that was disappointing. But we are through and that was the most important thing.
I want to get back in the side. Obviously I am disappointed not to be playing. I keep training as hard as I can and when these opportunities come along, try and do my best.

Re: Kevin Davies
You're not even being realistic Hoboh. Read the post. You claim KD isn't a Premiership player, so, if that's true, who's going to give us anything for him then? I already stated above he'll probably do one more season at best, mainly on the bench and then call it a day. N'gog is prone to "knocks", Klasnic isn't a ninety minute grafter, O Halloran isn't the finished article yet and who else do we have right now? Or maybe you see keeping Robbie Blake as the answer? Having KD on the bench means at least you'll not have him limping off injured and he's an option. Call me back when we've signed an alternative hey? .Hoboh wrote:Tango I don't pick many barneys with you but Davo ain't a prem player any more, Coyle should do the decent thing and quiatly let him go! Kevins head and heart are in one place whilst his body is in another. Not going to start criticising him now, too many good memories, but it's sad to see.
