At 34, with his own fans claiming he's past it and burned out? Let's face it, how much difference is there between the bottom six clubs here and the top six in the Championship in terms of physicality? Beyond that we'd be lucky to get taxi fare for him.Worthy4England wrote:A Club that isn't a Premiership Club maybe?TANGODANCER wrote:You claim KD isn't a Premiership player, so, if that's true, who's going to give us anything for him then?Hoboh wrote:Tango I don't pick many barneys with you but Davo ain't a prem player any more, Coyle should do the decent thing and quiatly let him go! Re: Kevin Davies
Davies was on 5 live at the weekend. Comes across well but did say he'd finding it hard being a sub after years of starting. He must realise his current form doesnt put him ahead of NGog and the 451 system demands something he probably cant do for 90 mins.Le Toux looks very much like a K Davies style player and if we signed him I wouldnt be surprised if Davies moved on.Had Eaves not been injured its quite possible Davies could already have slipped further down the pecking order.
Guess it comes down to how much he still wants to play and whether he wants the hassle of moving. I suspect he could do a good job with his old mates at west ham if he can be arsed.

Sky Sports understands that a host of clubs have made enquiries for Bolton striker Kevin Davies.
The 34-year-old admitted earlier this month that he was facing an uncertain future.
Davies has slipped down the pecking order this season and is now spending much of his time on the bench, which has alerted other clubs to his possible availability.
And now Sky Sports understands that Sunderland, Wolves, West Brom are all monitoring his situation whilst Old Firm duo Celtic and Rangers are also keen.
But whilst Bolton would consider selling him this month, it is not believed that they would entertain a loan deal - which most of the clubs interested would seem to prefer.
Davies's current deal at the Reebok Stadium is due to expire at the end of the season.

If Sheff Utd get promotion, he'll go there. Bet your mortgage on it.

Re: Kevin Davies
Seems like no-one wants to sign him, it would presumably be til the end of next season which is a long way away.plymouth wanderer wrote:http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/545996868?-11201

Should we loan SKD to the SPL/EPL or do we need him here for the bench/banter/bringing through kids/etc?
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Re: Kevin Davies
... agreed, though he doesn't seem to be taking the relegation to the bench very well. I'd certainly not wish him to sign (loan or otherwise) to anyone in the Premiership right now. Not unless we suddenly got ourselves another good one to cover. You know ... a Rasiak or similar.thebish wrote:I'd rather keep him than loan him....
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Kevin Davies
I wonder, I wonder, I wonder... if we sign Le Toux and another forward... if we'd let him go on loan to Glasgow provided they paid most/all of his wages, in order to reduce our overheads
I wonder... 'cos if he's on £40kpw (and he may well now be one of the remaining top earners) that'd be £1m saved

Certainly I'd let him go if he wants out, provided the wages were covered. He has certainly deserved our consideration.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I wonder, I wonder, I wonder... if we sign Le Toux and another forward... if we'd let him go on loan to Glasgow provided they paid most/all of his wages, in order to reduce our overheads

SPL or Championship - Yes
Any (Barclays Premier League) club where he would (in my opinion) improve their chances of survival over us? - No

I don't care where he goes as long as I don't see another game started with Klasnic and KD up front.
I'd rather remember him as he was 3 years ago but a few more lackluster performances and his memory is in danger of being sullied.
