Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It is Ismael Bangoura. Obviously one that we were after but not publicised because I haven't heard of him before.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle is swooping for Guinea’s exciting attacker Ismael Bangoura and trying to rush through a package with the African star.
Wanderers have agreed a deal with Arab side Al Nasr for the 27-year-old Bangoura, who is on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Coyle is looking into ways of rushing through a work permit for him, but he will need Guinea to be knocked out of the competition early to let him pull off the coup.
Bangoura played for Dinamo Kiev and Rennes and has been a hit in the Middle East, but he is now available.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

Why the hell would guinea need to be knocked out to do this? Get a doctor out there do a medical, sign the papers and slap a work permit application in. Others have done it.....
Re: CH's all singing all dancing transfer gossip thread on t
bloody norah - I have just remembered his goal stats...
2003–2005 Gazélec Ajaccio 44 (15)
2005–2007 Le Mans 56 (18)
2007–2009 Dynamo Kyiv 46 (28)
2009–2010 Rennes 39 (8)
2010– Al Nasr SC 18 (10)
by my reckoning - that's 79 goals in 203 games - more than 1 in 3.... over his whole career...

Anyway, another one I've never heard of.
bit expensive for lil' ol' Bolton ... a loan would seem more likely. However he does seem to hold his values to an extent.July 2009, Bangoyra signed from Kiev to Rennes on a four year-deal for €11 million.
September 2010, Bangoura signed for Al Nasr SC on a four-year-contract for an estimated fee believed to be €8 million.[6] During the 2010-11 season, he scored 10 goals from 17 league matches.
Early in the 2011-12 season, he decided to move away temporarily from the club for African Nations Cup in January 2012, which could see him unavailable for almost two months. Al Nasr accepted his decision, but did not wait for him. Bangoura was replaced by other players Brazilian Careca and Ivorian Amara Diané. Team manager Khalid Obaid explained that it was decided he would be away for too long and this wouldn't be of use to the team.
Anyway, another one I've never heard of.

Unknown (at least by me) but hardly unproven if his record's anything to go by.Relentless09 wrote:Great another unproven player, trying to take us to the championship ?

Give over. Proven players will cost us a hell of a lot more than we can afford. Who were you expecting us to sign??Relentless09 wrote:Great another unproven player, trying to take us to the championship ?
