Rodallega sounds like a perfect QPR signing in this window.
Money-no-object merchants offering silly money to players who can't be arsed to wait til summer to wait for more considered offers and try and weigh up a move that shows ambition as opposed to whoever will pay the most.
But yeah, i see that happening fairly soon, as he'll still see himself as a billy big bollocks at the moment will Rodallega.

ok - grrrrrr... you've sucked me into twitter now!!truewhite15 wrote:However, the Oracle has vehemently denied it. Says that we're "battering the feck out of the final doors" on two signings, one of whom is apparently a "bigger fish" than Bangoura.
Nixon's utterings thus far on these two mystery top players:
Kicking down doors galore. Only final one in two cases.
(are we still in for Bagoura?)
Bigger fish on the fryer
Battering feck out of the final door. In both cases.
If u get nod on either I won't just write it I'll do a run round the Reebok on a victory roll ...
(is the "final door" personal terms?)
Not an issue in either case
All focus on these two. Both would be straight in the team. Everything else on hold.
(what is the "final door"?)
One person's agreement in both cases. No more details on this.
(will we find out today?)
Likely to be an answer on one. Hobnail boots on for other.

But guarantee within a day or two he'll be saying "Still waiting on answers, need to get a move on".
Or sommat like that. Its usually the way.
Its not Nixons fault but all we're hearing is all the deals that get started but never finished that you never hear about.
One summer under Allardyce we'd made moves for about 80 players. Most you never even heard about in the press!

Nixon twitters......
have to say that, despite myself, I am intrigued!!
how the toss are we going to sign "VIP" players who will walk straight into the team???Le Toux a possible. Bangoura will need to do better in next Mali game. But current two are VIP stuff.

I hate the "ITK" stuff.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Sorry to piss on more chips, but these 2 x ''so called' VIP Marquee signings will NOT happen - this happens every window, everyone gets excited and nothing happens, this is BWFC be prepared to be disappointedthebish wrote:Nixon twitters......

Would it really hurt you to say "possibly" or "probably" instead of just NOT? You're no more ITK than the rest of us, and though you might dress your rampant pessimism up as realism, it's bringing the rest of us down.Peter Thompson wrote:Sorry to piss on more chips, but these 2 x ''so called' VIP Marquee signings will NOT happen - this happens every window, everyone gets excited and nothing happens, this is BWFC be prepared to be disappointedthebish wrote:Nixon twitters......

Re: CH's all singing all dancing transfer gossip thread on t
NR is Nathan Redmond.
Re: CH's all singing all dancing transfer gossip thread on t
Love him or hate him, most of his calls end up being accurate and confirmed one way or another by someone within the club (usually Coyle), during or after the chase.
I don't doubt that he knows that we're chasing two players in particular, with names in hand, but at least he doesn't spill the beans before the club are ready for him to. These could be two players that other clubs don't know are available, so I for one am thankful for him keeping his lips sealed. All too often we've lost out on transfer targets due to bigger clubs coming in at the last minute and gazumping us.
Remember this one? This chestnut was ready to sign before journo's reported his imminent move to us; and he ended up at Chelsea.

Are you being serious ??truewhite15 wrote: Would it really hurt you to say "possibly" or "probably" instead of just NOT? You're no more ITK than the rest of us, and though you might dress your rampant pessimism up as realism, it's bringing the rest of us down.

Do you really believe that BWFC will sign 2 'top quality' players in the next 4 days who will go straight into the team from day one - if so your really are a PG believer !
This also means that 1. they are affordable & 2. they are willing to join a 'skint' club in a serious relegation scrap and could be playing championship football next season (unless its just a loan....)
I don't actually disbelieve what Nixon is saying, I just happen to believe the club are feeding him the usual 'bollocks' rumours to try and appease the fans
