[quote="Chrisfu"]Love him or hate him, most of his calls end up being accurate and confirmed one way or another by someone within the club (usually Coyle), during or after the chase.

I don't doubt that he knows that we're chasing two players in particular, with names in hand, but at least he doesn't spill the beans before the club are ready for him to. These could be two players that other clubs don't know are available, so I for one am thankful for him keeping his lips sealed. All too often we've lost out on transfer targets due to bigger clubs coming in at the last minute and gazumping us.

Remember this one? This chestnut was ready to sign before journo's reported his imminent move to us; and he ended up at Chelsea.

haha two players that other clubs dont know are available, thats gotta be one of the daftest things ive ever read on here :conf: bollox
am i right or am i right?

even the most excitable would not describe him as a top "VIP" player guaranteed to walk straight into the team!

So let's sum up what we actually know:

Tim Ream [New York Red Bulls - Bolton] £2.5m
Gary Cahill [Bolton - Chelsea] £7m
Jack Sampson [Bolton - Southend] Loan

and thar she blows!

That's because Nixon didn't describe him as that? Some guy who was asking him questions did.

no - Nixon's words:
But current two are VIP stuff.
Both would be straight in the team.

They're literally going through every club in the land and linking each with him.

Zaha appears on Goal.com's list of top ten Football League players who might be on the radar of Premiership clubs this January list - several of whom we have been linked with (not surprisingly!)

ADAM LALLANA | Southampton

RICKIE LAMBERT | Southampton

NICKY MAYNARD | Bristol City

MATT PHILLIPS | Blackpool

NICK POWELL | Crewe Alexandra

NATHAN REDMOND | Birmingham City

JORDAN RHODES | Huddersfield Town

JEFFREY SCHLUPP | Leicester City

JAMES TOMKINS | West Ham

WILFRIED ZAHA | Crystal Palace

PS...

Zaha has scored THREE league goals for Crystal Palace in 66 appearances....

(just saying!)

6 in 76 in all competitions....

Watched him in the Carling this week. Nippy, a bit tricky but, IMO, too ready to go down in a heap and do the "look what he did ref!" bit. Might be being a bit unfair on that one showing but Palace never created much all game.

Good young player who I would be happy to see in a Bolton shirt.. Some Bolton fans are way to picky.. Zaha would be a good signing for a club of our stature.
