Standard O'Neill signing - overpriced and British.

I think we should try and get a million for him past his prime and we have better options up front now and I'd love for us to get a player like Zaha, he's only 19 and has great protential!

This could well bite us in the arse as the last time Davies played against us he scored a hattrick.

Who knows? Market is very quiet. We are chasing players who are young sought after types.

I'm not going to slate them until the window closes. We do seem to move slowly.

We do seem to wait for answers rather than make things happen.

But with two days left we just have to hope one or two things turn up.

Tis always the case fella. For the first three weeks clubs put ridiculous valuations on some of their key assets, then they see the clock counting down and the money on the table...

KD doesn't even score hat-tricks in his dreams nowadays....

I'd rather Blunderland bought KD to play against us than a decent striker to play against us....

SKD getting sold means Le Toux would be brought in to replace him without a doubt like for like.

Zaha would be a brilliant addition maybe a bit hit and miss but already ahead of Eagles IMO.

Miyachi and Iturbe loans if they don't come off nothing lost but if they benefit us then perfect.

If we sign at least 3 out of those 4 including Ream would be an amazing window.

can you tease that one out for us a bit?? how do you "make things happen" when you don't have piles of the stuff that talks??

O'Neill "may" and Coyle "would like".

Who got a slab of granite? This needs to be written down properly!
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

I still dont get why people are moaning about how this whole window thing works. If anything happens it happens at the last minute on the last day.Players and clubs wait until the best deal is on the table and theres a whole stack of ifs buts and maybes based on other moves which can fall through. Like The Bish says unless you're loaded and can afford to overpay its going to be slow if anything happens at all. If we can bring in Le Toux and someone nippy who can play across the front we'll have done pretty well.

I'm also a bit baffled that people believe we can sign solid premiership standard performers able to walk into the team ahead of what we already have for less than 5 million. There arent many places left where you can find these players and the USA seems to be one of the few places worth looking and Coyle has done that. There was a time when you could pick up end of career greats for nominal fees but they seem to stay at the big clubs now perhaps because the squad system and wages make it more viable than it once was. We wanted Giggs and Scholes a while back but look where they are now,

Playing in the Stu-s-a would Le Toux need all the visa/permits that took Ream weeks to get round? Would there be time now?
