Arsenal on Wednesday

Post by Verbal » Sun Jan 29, 2012 7:59 pm

Quietly confident. Very quietly.

Hope to god we beat them. Probably second or third on my list of dislike teams.

Thoughts for the game?

Apparently RVP elbowed Cuellar so if he gets a subsequent ban, I'd be more confident!

After all the stick the club has got off Gunners fans, i.e. accusations about being "greedy" over the Cahill sale, I desperately hope we stuff them.

Tough game, but so was Everton/Liverpool. We seem to have found some confidence of late, so no reason we can't beat them.

Play the same team that beat Liverpool. Keep Pratley out. Not a game to try Ream out, needs a gentler introduction than playing against Van Persil.
... of course I may just be talking bo11ocks

Certainly 100% for sure not us.

Highly unlikely he would play for them either!

Winnable. First-choice team, obvs. Steiner, Knight and Muamba back in. Go for it.

Wheater or Boyata beside him?

Wheater looks a liability to me...

Telling that nobody's questioning the re-introduction of Knight...

I don't think Wenger would lend us his piss if we were on fire... he's still bitter about the whole Cahill saga...

pessimistic - this is a bit of a must win for Arsenal and they have about 3-4 Bellamyesque quickies available against which we are susceptible .
i'd give Ream a start with that in mind
just cant see Knight- Wheater working against these.

we'll still pick up 6 points from next nine available though which will put us on 1ppg

If we score more goals than them, we might just nick it.

Arsenal have been far from stellar recently. Admittedly, they have the potential and the propensity to turn up the wick against us, but to carry on with our survival push, we've got to hope for a draw at least.

Same team as vs Liverpool, assuming that Ream isn't available. Start with a deep back line; Arsenal aren't as prone to the chipped-ball-to-big-man-knocked-down-to-little-man approach, and will, first and foremost, look to pass it through us or attack down the wing. Muamba and Reo-Coker are going to be key, we have to stay vigilant, and wait for opportunities to release our own wingers/Mark Davies.

Ream won't be available he is in America sorting out permit formalities, but hopefully be back before the Norwich match.

It will be a tough match but i can see us winning it just look at there back 4, Ngog will have the beating of Mertesackofshit for pace. Only worry for me is if we give Walcott and Chamberlain to much space, and of course the best striker in the prem RVP keep him quiet and hopefully we can nick it. But we must take our chances! 2-1 Bolton

Chucking Ream in against RVP will be suicidal.

at the risk of sounding repetitive - he has already said he is not available until the Norwich game...
