Re: Arsenal on Wednesday
Oh dear. Hopes are up, but.
{organising thoughts, can you hear the gears grinding}
So... OC plays Ngog up front against DMBs. Bolton lose 3v0.
Next up, first of three wins, Macc in cup. SKD & Klasnic up front (Ngog subs Klasnic after 60 mins). Win 2v0 SKD & Petrov score.
Then, Liverpool (in their own inimitable style) gift us a win 3v1 [Yes, I know, I can hear the criticism. Why am I saying Liverpool lost it not Bolton won it] but anyway, Ngog up front, Mavis, NRC & Steinsson scores.
Then third win on trot, cup again. Swansea. Ngog up front Bolton win 2v1 with Pratley & Eagles the scorers.
This tells me that OC has decided (in league games) Ngog is first choice as striker and Klasnic is at best a sub.
It also tells me what I already know: Ngog isn't prolific. He's spent 300 minutes on the pitch in the last 4 matches and hasn't scored a goal.
Let's hope that Mavis, NRC, Steinsson, Pratley, Eagles, and Et Al are up to the job because here's a prediction, whatever the final scoreline Bolton v Arsenal, Ngog will start and will not score.

You mean the 'old switcheroo'? Hmmm, you know that's so crazy it might just work! Oh that would be funny.thebish wrote:'tis always dangerous to score against arsenal too early...coffeymagic wrote:Like the Liverpool game we need to get them rocking early on. The longer the game goes on the more it'll suit them. Let's not give them the chance to breath.
best way to beat 'em is in the dying seconds...
Let's do it.
Let's do it make Lee Dixon cry.
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Re: Arsenal on Wednesday
Wenger to score a three match ban for kicking a water bottle at the ref after Muamba scores the winner.
This will be won or lost in the midfield. Lots of hassling players needed, high energy stuff and keep them away from our box. Passing in the final third is what they're good at; that and tearing into the box at mach speed, running into defenders and going airbourne to get penalties. If we get trapped in our own box it's chips. Won't be an easy one but I've got a feeling we can get something and have Wenger moaning.

Arsened Whinger. Apparently (according to Radio5Live) he didn't go into the technical area on Sunday, just sat in that puffer duvet of his and fumed at the unfairness of life - him not being acclaimed a genius because a few fans hadn't cheered to the rafters his remarkable God-like substitutions. Let's hope he's still in a fug and deliberately makes some really stupid subs just to wind the Gooner critics up.TANGODANCER wrote:Wenger to score a three match ban for kicking a water bottle at the ref after Muamba scores the winner.

I think he's spot on. The most innocuous tackles see your players roll over and feign injury until they get the decision.Gooner Girl wrote:You don't half talk some utter rubbish.coffeymagic wrote: Watch for the diving and off the ball stuff.

Song is one of the most petulant and cynical players in the league, but you try and do it back and he whines like feck

How do we stay compact while playing a deep line? Or do you mean horizontally compact, in which case we'd be leaving their flying wingers 1v1 on our full-backs...Ianmooreslovechild wrote:Certainly not impossible to get a result.Like Truewhite says though cant really play a highline. keep a compact shape , defend from the front, not all is rosy in Wenger's garden right now.We can certainly get a goal or two.

Your team are widely regarded as the amongst (if not THE) biggest cheaters in the league. You have been for years.

Highly unlikely he would play for them either!
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Re: Arsenal on Wednesday
I've lost count of the number of Bolton players Abou Diaby has injured. Then again, I guess 'he's not that type of player' because he plays for Media Darlings XI and not a bunch of northern cloggers.
