Grafting midfielders like the ones they already have.A win tomorrow and the bottom of the prem will look better than it has for quite some time.jmjhb wrote:Wolves did well getting Frimpong and Bassong, which incidentally sounds like a really bad jazz band

0016: BBC Sport understands the paperwork surrounding Watford striker Marvin Sordell's £3m move to Bolton is all but done, and the move should be officially confirmed soon.
Anyone think Bolton are doing this to keep this thread open?

Or until someone, in about 3 days time if we are up to standard, opens the next one !!ChrisC wrote:Yep! Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It's now 1.15 am (tomorrow your time, today 8.15 pm mine) and still no announcement. They've all gone to bed. Were the papers filed on time? Did he pass the medical? The tension is unbearable - well, not really, I'll have another beer and watch hockey.

After sitting in front of Alan Nixon's Twitter Feed of Frustration for 10 hours, I sacked in in at at about 10p.m.—just 'cause I'm like that (no staying-power according to the missus).Riviman wrote:Staying till the bitter end !!thebish wrote:so - anyone dare go to bed before some kind of official confirmation????

So what's the consensus? Are we happy? I've not seen one of our signings kick a ball. But I think I'm happy!

I've not taken my hand painted Coyle out bedsheet off the roof yet.Sponge wrote:So what's the consensus? Are we happy? I've not seen one of our signings kick a ball. But I think I'm happy!
And I'd wish we'd signed Nicolas Anelka like rather than an Arsenal reserve on loan, an unknown American chancer and an (albeit decent) Championship level striker but I suppose it could've been worse.

Not bad, as good as it gets given the market we operate in. We shall see how it all comes together-not seen any of our signings play!

Its hard to judge with 3 players, few of us will have seen any or much of.
Its about the judgement on Ream and Sorvell. If we stay up Sorvell will go up from 3.2M to 4M (and lets hope it does). And 4M could be a snip. Equally if he's not right, we can't keep flushing 4M fees down the drain......

On the plus side, quite a bit of pace added to the squad. If they can throw in a bit of ability to boot, then we're laughing.
Re: CH's all singing all dancing transfer gossip thread on t
The most interesting thing about the Le Toux thing is that we didn't want him and he didn't want to come here. He wanted to stay at PU but has ended up in Vancouver.
