They cained us for ahalf an hour, then for a half an ahour it was even, we battered them for another half an hour.

Both teams did everything but score.

Cracking game of football. Pleased with a point on reflection, but last night I was gutted we didn't snatch 3 at the end
Spot on. Chuffed not only be the result but the way we played. Arsenal seemed to run out of ideas as to how to break us down, Thought both sides looked knackered after 80 minutes but we finished stronger than them. Credit to everyone but especially NRC who was immense.

I thought it was a definate penalty on Mavies at the end. Either for the pull back or the keeper tripping him.

Then again i could be talking out of my arse.

Anyone seen a replay of the incident?
What a hero, What a man...... Ooooh, what a bad foul...

Mertershocker was pulling him back blatantly, but it was outside the box in fairness (not that the ref had any intention of giving anything). He kept hold of him into the box though, until the point where Davies changed direction to try and get round Schzezhnyshyzz. Schz... The 'keeper, got a full hand on the ball, but seemed to go through Davies to get it.

Probably not a pen for me, but I've seen lesser incidents given against us.

Ref should've brought the game back for the Mertershocker foul though and given us the freekick. He could've been sent off too, but there was a covering defender, so yellow would've sufficed.

Also, it's worth adding: Had Merteshocker not been fouling Davies, I'd have put my mortgage on him to race through and score.

don't want to pee on everyone's parade.
but we could have been out of the game by the end of the first half hour.
we still ,despite the huge improvements recently, seem brittle of confidence - fortunately we weren't punished last night but i fear there will be plenty occasions when we will be. still going right to the wire. (the whole relegation gig)

there- now i have p*ssed on your parade

Absolutely right though we were playing Arsenal. And equally we could have won the game in the last 20 minutes...Though I take your point, if Arsenal took one of their early chances could easily have ended 3/4/5-0 and been a repeat of our early season surrenders against Man Utd/Chelsea etc....

I suppose the key will be winning the games we've got at home against teams in the bottom half. That will decide ultimately if we stay up or not. Though a point against Arse helps.

as wrote:Marvellous.

Atmosphere in the 2nd half was as good as I've ever heard in the NSL, 100% effort from the players and we were a tad unlucky not to nick it.

Ngog puts in a shift that SKD would be proud of, just a shame the big man came on and had that charlie of a ref penalising him for anything and everything :whack:

Arsenal are an awful team, full of cheats and moaners, I'm soooooo happy they'll struggle to qualify for the CL. And their fans also deserve to be hung, drawn and quartered as they are the epitome of cuntishness.

Horrible club - horrible players - horrible managers - with a massive following of glory-hunting paddies in the away end - c*nts the lof of them

Anyone else see the bloke in the NSL wearing a t-shirt and flip-flops

Yeah I saw him, he was wearing the same at Macc too. Hard bastard!

You must sit right near me, the chap in the beach clothing was only a few seats ahead of me. He gets very angry when people dont sing!

See, I think for the first 20 we were all at sea and looked like we didn't have a clue. What was different though to the Utd and Chelsea games was there was some pretty good last ditch defending, with people willing to get blocks in, and we had a bit of luck with regards to their profligacy. We got through a tough opening, and then grew into the game - that suggests they do have a bit more belief about them now as opposed to it being evidence of them being brittle of confidence.

Agreed. I suppose the point being that had they scored in the opening period, we might not have had the chance to grow into the game, and we could have been talking about a heavy defeat....fine margins.

Equally a different ref and we'd have won. Fine margins again!

Never mind. F**k 'em all – we're back. After a shaky start we played well and kept the run going. Good on us. Winnable game at the weekend, although Norridge are no slouches and there'll be a backlash expected from canny gaffer Lambert (who really should considering hiring the ex-Wolves defender Paul Butler as co-manager).

Who they could Park after a Drive to Craven Cottage before Players Tipped to perform like Camels and then be transferred to Chesterfield ?

It'd be Menthol of them.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I gave up with the BBC years ago when (off the top of my head, I think we were due to play West Ham, the one where JJ scored) I tuned into Football Focus and they had a 5 min interview with the Arsenal kitman.
We got a mention later on.

Apparently they've given up with us too, and the other nine teams who played last night, by having MOTD on Tuesday and not even giving the other half of the league an MOTD2. Made I so angry I had to bust into somebody else's blog to complain.

To be fair, that was a massively cvntish thing to do even by the beeb's standards...but at the same time chuckle-worthy that Arsenal are now demoted to bottom-half fodder in viewing terms with the likes of bolton, fulham, west brom et al :)

If they get a man sent off, they'd only have 10 Players!
