How it is that everyone, every single other person, can see that with the players available 4-5-1 works and 4-4-2 does not .... that SKD, God bless him, is shot ... that Mark Davies will only be the player he can be when given a free role & that requires Muamba on the pitch with him.

Coyle hasn't done that accidentally, it was a decision .... cocking a snook at the fans, at Muamba, at the club.

He should own up to his error & if he cant then he should fck off. That being unlikely then he should be shown the door. Now, not at the end of the season. This evening ... by text.
maybe he felt wigan being the worst team in the league and being at home, he could play 2 upfront? I still think wolves, wigan and qpr are worse than you and you will stay up.
YOU don't have to put up with this game after game sadly I think you're wrong Coyle will not or refuses to learn by his mistakes we're going down and he is responsible but thanks any way.

Is coyle the most tactically inept manager of all time?

How many oppurtunities were there to change it for muamba?

Coyle makes me think i know more than a professional manager as an amateur!
That just cant be right

Regardless of formations - despite Coyle's insistence that we have all 11 players in the box to defend corners, Caldwell still had the freedom of Horwich to get his header in.

Last week Norwich scored two goals due to them being first to react to the loose ball - and low and behold - how did Wigan's winner come about?

did McCarthy have his own ball to play with today?

Agree with all - Coyle's not the 'likeable' but shit manager he was a month or so ago, he's now a really shit clueless manager who's not likeable one bit. I didn't hear one fan today who backed him....he's single handedly doing his very best to take us down.

Its getting to the stage where I can't even stand to see his face or hear his voice on the TV....

I'm beginning to feel much the same. It's the belligerent turning away from the gift horse he had stumbled upon that is unfathomable. before it was possible to believe we didnt have the squad but they began to show promise and he stamped on it.

But Tuncay DID show that if he was given a proper chance he desperately wants to take it.

I just think Coyle has no idea how to use him. He's not God's gift, but he offers a mobile version of what Klasnic does .... but no, he's not a winger.

Also, for maybe the first time, I've wondered two things about SKD ; -
a). that we are watching a club legend fade, right before us. It's a crying shame that we may remember him for THIS phase, not the years he gave us such great service. He should be put out of his misery.

then, on a less sympathetic note

b). I wonder if his political power at the club is such that he, somehow, has a power in the dreesing room which is, actually, destructive. Not only did he get selected today (I know ... how ? why ?), but was also, immediately, captain again. Why ?

Not yet, but if it's the case then punish him by whatever internal process is appropriate, not by changing the whole playing system ... especially back to one which has so palpably failed.

As if to illustrate the point that 442 is a dying formation we have us getting beat by Wigan and Toon getting spanked by Spuds.

It's not rocket since we need to play with NRC/Moobs covering the back four and then a midfield three in which Mavis is the attacking option.

Anyone know what happened to Ream/Sordell?
Pfffft.

Never seen Tuncay work as hard as he did today. Was something of a brightspot against a dark grey background.

I've thought he worked hard and showed a good attitude whenever he's come on. Problem is he doesnt really fit unless he is alternated with Mavis who for all his talent doesnt seem able to be involved in the game for a full 90 mins

sordell is rumoured to have lost an eye in a grisly training ground accident

Ream ran so fast in tests that he went right out of the training ground, Past Preston, shot round Birmingham and has never been seen again...
