Just seen that, and its a fair summary TBH that so many want him out - However, I'm amazed that there's even 22-23% of fans that don't want him out. But it is at Megson levels and he's certainly lost a lot of fans who had given him the benefit of the doubt !

I'd ask any fan who doesn't want him out, to explain what it is he does that is so good and why we should keep him, but not just 'who else would come', 'there's no one else' and 'its too late' - I really want to know what strengths he brings to the club in terms of team management & coaching ?

I wanted Owen to stay right up until yesterday. I dont think the players we have are good enough and he is trying to operate on a shoestring but if he cant (or wont) see whats staring him in the face i.e. 4-4-2 doesn't feckin work - then it's time to go.

Such numptyness will not only get us relegated but wont help us in the Championship either.

Who would come might be a valid question - fairly sure it's been done to death elsewhere.

"There's no-one else" is crock of shite.

Well yes, it would be nice to get Mourinho in, but I think the two questions may as well be conflated—i.e., "who could we get that would be better?"

(Though admittedly in terms of setting up the team that would include anybody with a brain capacity above a newt.)

Can it be safely assumed that OC must realise by now there's something drastically wrong? He surely must have heard that penny drop as loudly as a supersonic bang. He surely must know that we looked second rate all over the pitch against one of the lowest rated teams in the league and that with Chelsea and City next up we're likely to be propping up the whole of the famous "Barclays Premier league". I've never been a knocker of him, but facts are facts and all the talk of his Grail quest to build a future Wanderers team will sound that much worse from the Championship level. Wake up Owen, the ice isn't only melting on the pavements. We still have a slim chance to avoid the drop, but it's getting slimmer by the minute.

I think you've successfully answered your own question. I'm in the who could we get that could possibly be worse club.

He stumbled on the right formation after trying to permutate every fooker at the Club into a 4-4-2. It worked better for a few games, so off he goes to play 4-4-2 again.

Clueless fcuker.

Worthy is bang on.

For a short term till the end of the season job, I can't think of anyone worse than Coyle.

Anyone with any sort of pragmatic bone in their body would do now. We need someone who has the sole focus of giving us the best chance to stay up. i.e. stop trying to play free flowing 4-4-2 football and grind out results in a 4-5-fooking 1.....

I must of missed this free and flowing football saturday. All I remember is Wiggin walking through our shambolic defence missing countless chances to cross and shoot, and a series of 'free and flowing' goal kicks by bogdan tgat came straight back at us. We scored cos it hit ngog on the back ffs!

Anyway to answer the question I'd have:
Simon Grayson
Warnock (even though he is a nice person)
Steve Bruce (even bigger nice person)
Even Mick McCarthy if he gets sacked today!
Benitez!! (prick)
Dave feck* Bassett!! Straight swap for the current Mike Bassett

this is all such bollocks.
some points for a reality check
1. we beat Wigan 3-1 playing 4-4-2.
2. If Muamba breached club discipline he shouldn't play. if he didn't then its clear OC doesnt rate him above RC or Davies. I do but many on here don't either. Given Coyle was always going to go 4-4-2 and look to pressure high up the pitch and Sordell was injured it was Davies or Klasnic or Tuncay for the 2nd striker. He went for the wrong one.
3. some on here now calling for Coyle's head had us finishing mid table after our mini run against the Scousers and Arsenal. Utter shite. This season was always going to be a roller coaster and if we survive it will be by the skin of our arses. why? see point 4
4. WE ARE A TEAM IN TRANSITION. It is not inconceivable that we start games for the remainder of the season without any of those fckers who started that game against Stoke (leave Knight and Steinsonn -oh and Muamba- out and its a done deal). Myself and most on here who went to that game were calling for exactly that. If anything OC has been over patient with the likes of Davies K and Knight but his hands have been tied with injuries.
5. The transfer window looks a good one. Last orders has gone for SKD,Steinsonn and Knight (i'd keep Muamba but i'm biased). Its Coyle's team now - judge it and him this time next season when either, i predict, we will be comfortably mid BPL table or running away with the Championship

If we survive we will be a better side for it.Sack the manager and we may well implode.

Hmmmm.

Well potentially I'm in that 25pc who dont want him gone. PG and ED have clearly decided that OC is here for the longer term and have bought into his vision for the future. That is, investing in youth, investing in the academy, and having an exciting attacking young team that will yield entertaining football and profits from selling on talented young players. It makes sense. He also has some feeling for the club and in theory a bond with the fans, which is also important.

If he wasn't such a baffling, bewildering clueless fcukwit at seeting up the current team to perform towards their best it would all be quite promising.

It comes down to will he realize 4-5-1 is the way to play with this squad or will we have to get someone else in to do it. I can't believe he will continue not to see it, but then I can't believe he isn't seeing it now or hasn't seen it at anytime since August.....

Regardless I can't see PG/ED sacking him now, and I can't see too many from that list coming here, and I'd rather have OC playing 4-4-2 than Peter Reid.
