10km tonight went fine. Decentish pace. Absolutely dreading the 1.5km intervals tomorrow though. My flatmate/training partner is having the week off due to a niggly knee so i'm going to have to push myself harder than I would normally.
Sorry Verbs but I wasn't running anyway. I'm at a Swim clinic. Good luck with the training.

:( no worries. Enjoy. Next time!

Got a grumbly knee at present. hmm. Not that I'm looking to get out of the hell that will be intervals tonight or anything.

Knee got better so intervals it was. first 1500 metres in 6:27, second 1500 in 6.20 and last 1500 in 6.07

Not blistering pace but fast enough for me.

Cheers Verbal.

Yes, I intend to, mate.

Though I'll need to find a new running partner as I'm dumping Laura on Friday - seems that she's been running around with loads of other blokes too

I've got the Central Lancs 5K down at LHP this Sunday, Gary, with Our Kid - which has been the goal. :D

Then, to keep it up I'm going to get involved in the regular parkruns down there.

EDIT: OK - I've just registered with Parkruns. Do I now need to register to enter a run or do I just pitch up with my barcode ?(apologies as I know that this'll have been covered off elsewhere)

Turn up with the barcode. They'll scan it and text you your result. Good luck!

Well done Bruce - good work. I'm running at LHP on Sunday too - we can enjoy the race happy in mind that our team is in the cup quarters :pissed:

I know - course, it wasn't me that picked it. Everyone there is from one of the northwest running clubs and it turns out that it's some sort of grand prix thingy. It'll be like me turning up at Silverstone in my VW :(

Just see it as an aim to complete the course! Doesn't matter where you come! (or bottle out and do a prak run instead!)

I've paid up now. I'll work on the theory that it'll make next weeks parkrun feel like, well, a walk in the park ;)

Cheers, Willy - much appreciated. Just want to get round it really, same as when I do a Parkrun. It's just that I might be able to see other human beings in the latter.
