I've just had a quick scan on Owlstalk and it would appear that it's finally dawning on the gormless gets. Not all of them yet. Give it a bit more time.

He wouldn't quit .... he'd wait to be sacked, piss & moan about it and demand a big payoff & a gardener (Ricky's doing nowt) before prattling on about it to anyone not actually chained to the room he's in.P.O.S. wrote:The rumours were that he'd quit yesterday, but theyve been quashed

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Reported that he has 1 game in which to save his job. A defeat in the Derby and he's gone

Re: Megson Watch
Thats the problem when you are at one of the 'massive' clubs, instant results and returns are expected.

Re: Megson Watch
He should get a little leeway as an ex player but maybe Mick McCarthy will fancy heading closer to home and managing at a level he is generally very good at.

Did you know that?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: Megson Watch
... didn't he also achieve the first ever victory away to Heckmondwyke United, or something like that. All against the backdrop of being intructed to lose in a match at Glossop and not liking the fans ?Lord Kangana wrote:He got Sheffield Wednesday in to Europe, and he beat Barcelona for the first time in their history.bobo the clown wrote:He wouldn't quit .... he'd wait to be sacked, piss & moan about it and demand a big payoff & a gardener (Ricky's doing nowt) before prattling on about it to anyone not actually chained to the room he's in.P.O.S. wrote:The rumours were that he'd quit yesterday, but theyve been quashed

Re: Megson Watch
I had the Radio Sheffield commentary on for that derby and there was dismay when he took off an attacking player and put another defender on. Something about inviting the other team back onto your goal.
Watched the infamous 1-0 win against ManU "at our place" on DVD last night. Some superstars, some very ordinary players. We played like Barcelona. Is that what happens when you're not outnumbered in midfield? Very surreal that there were plenty of ManU players still there (Nani, Carrick, Anderson, Giggs, Evra, Ferdinand), or at other big clubs (Pique, Tevez, Saha, Hargreaves), from their team and Ronaldo, Rooney and Eagles didn't even play. For us we only have Jussi, Bibi and Kevin Davies still with us, not that any of the other players are still at the top of their game. And, craziest of all was that Gary Speed played but is no longer with us.
