Good result, decent game and played well,especially in defence. Great insight by Rickets for the first and well done N'gog for making and taking his rare chance. Still far too much lack of reaction on 50-50 balls and we made them look good at times because of it. Muamba and Reo Coker did well and there was an energy about the team that's been sadly mising. Bogdan looking better and better in the sticks and Rickets can have MOTM for me.

Ream played it safe but looks encouraging and the much berated Tuncay played really well; one of the few players comfortable on the ball and his pass for N'gog's goal was excellent. We did make very few chances in reality and need to get more idea on attacks and, although throw-ins are meant to be an advantage, I can't think of one we did anything with. Bit more ball on the deck than ariel stuff needed but a good win against a decent side.

Oh, and the ref was pretty clueless.

Maybe not that easy/wise to keep it on the deck when large areas of the pitch are becoming puddles as it was in the 2nd half.Tuncay and Ryo both worked really hard from a defensive point of view today.Makes a huge difference to the team . Mavis showed when he did attempt to tackle why it really isnt a good idea to have him as a centre mid.

I definitely would.He worked his bollocks off defensively and looked pretty sparky when he got on the ball. Still dont think he's a right winger but he did enough to warrant keeping his place IMO

Yes I agree, worked hard all afternoon and a good interception and pass for the 2nd goal.
Eagles is a bit up and down for me, flatters to deceive and tries to be spectacular at times. Agree Tuncay isn't a right winger but never been given a run to see how he does.

Can't fault the professionalism, but we were comprehensively outplayed for pretty much the whole game bar the first 15. Granted, they're also wank, so never looked like scoring, but it felt like we had about 25% possession. Much to be said for the steel and determination shown, and for looking solid without playing well, but I don't think it was a good performance.

Not sure what all the Tuncay raving is for. He's played enough of his career out wide on the right to know when the right full back gets it you need to be fecking showing, not prancing around stood in the middle hoping you'll get it in a skillz position. Did well for N'Gog though. Interception and moved it quickly. Goal was about 10% him, 60% N'Gog and 40% keeper.

The more defensive minded were the more impressive today. Ream seemed solid, without much to do. Didn't throw it in his own net or anything, which was a relief. Looked to have a worrying flair for trying to pass it too. They'll soon drum that out of him. Perhaps a little too calm with the chest down of the pinged cross, followed by casual chip into midfield, and the control of their ball over the top that almost went wrong. Hopefully that's just adjusting to less time on the ball. Not much to criticise.

It was a 15 yard pass forward to N'Gog, who still had to turn, beat his man, and stick it in from 25 yards! It was hardly a brilliant defence splitting pass! That percentage is harsh on Fab, if anyone, who made it with his pressure. Don't get me wrong, given the efforts of others today and all season it was perhaps a surprise he didn't fcuk it up, but I hardly saw it and thought, 'well, that's genius from Tunners'. Was more pissed off at his Petrov-esque tackling and utter lack of positional discipline that meant I don't think we had a single attack down the right. He does do backheels though.

Someone wants to let N'Gog know he is left footed too.

Just returned from the game - had a really good day despite the fact I was down there on my own.

We werent brilliant by any means but did more than enough, Millwall were poor. I expected more from them and their fans to be honest, I was expecting a "wall of noise" not a couple of blasts of "whooooooaaaaaaaa" or whatever they were shouting. That smoke bomb someone set off in our end hasnt half done my chest in though!

Euston Tap is great for a quick drink although it is the size of a shoe box. Wanderers team was on my train coming home too, they looked in good spirits.

Tuncay isn't that impressive as a super sub, and hasn't done anything thats really changed the course of a game on his own as some expected (myself included) but I do like the guy. Out of interest is the future fee in his loan deal set? If he can show us a little bit more in the rest of the season I wouldn't mind us going for him permanently somewhere between 1.5-2 mil at the very most.

I certainly think Tuncay has more about him than Eagles. He has a little bit more composure and looks to play it on the floor. Eagles on the other hand has had 2/3 half decent games for us up to now. Although not bad, Eagles is only a Championship level player.

I would prefer to give Tuncay a few games to see what he can do.

We're a team struggling for consistent form and we played away and won 2-0. We do need to get our attack sorted out ganted, but, like Jackett said, we got the lead and defended deep and well. "Shit" is rather harsh given the circumstances, in fact it's very harsh, and wrong.

Sounds like you fellas spilled a half empty pint. No it wasnt brilliant but a difficult away game on a soggy pitch.Importantly we looked solid and compact for once.Ryo and Ngog scored quality goals but it wasnt a pitch for running with the ball or quick short passing.I dont give a toss if we only score 1 or 2 goals in a game.If we're compact and hard to beat you are at least in the game and have a chance to get results.That was a big plus today.

As for Tuncay I was thinking during the game that those people who say he's a lazy show pony might have to think again. I didnt see any wasteful flicks and he never stopped running and tracking back.He looks fitter and sharper than Eagles to me.No he didnt hug the touchline or get in bone crunching tackles but I dont think thats ever going to be his game. There's not much point hitting the goal line and getting a cross in anyway when you're playing one up top.Coming inside and linking up play makes more sense which was what he did.

A 2 0 away win with no real saves for the keeper(unless you count the save after the foul in the second half) strikes me as real progress.Bogdan kicking long gave away a lot of possession but we never really looked under threat so I'm happy with my half full unspilled pint

Getting the win was all that matters. And it was done professionally enough. Some tough potential ties next round though.

Spurs, Liverpool, Sunderland, Everton will all think it's their year. Wouldn't fancy any of those to come out. Nor Chelsea particularly. Then we are left with Stoke probably or Leicester.
