Blimey, if that's current he's some way off. I'd suspect first match around August looking at that ... if hei /we are lucky.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

I got it, but I arrived too late to partake in the banter. Much like the ship.....

I doubt he would last 5 mins in a Glasgow bar even if he is getting beastly arms from his crutches.Lord Kangana wrote:Ok. Fine. For sure, for sure. I wonder when chungy is back whether or not his injury will hold him back slightly, psychologically. I mean he might well think twice when going in to a 50 50 challenge etc and who can blame him. Just think a lot of hope is pinned on the kid and his long awaited comeback.

I'm not pinning any hope on him. Although I'll be happy when he's back and hope he's fully recovered.bwfcmadlad wrote:I wonder when chungy is back whether or not his injury will hold him back slightly, psychologically. I'm not sure why anyone would think the return of CYL would suddenly turn our season around?

Re: when do the BLUE DRAGON, CYL and HOLDEN return ?
I think CYL will return in a month or so, but he hasn't played for very long, so it'll take a bit more time for him to regain his form after recovering, and I don't think he can help our Premier League survival much this season.
Re: when do the BLUE DRAGON, CYL and HOLDEN return ?
In the case we get relegated, wouldn't we have to sell the likes of Chung-yong Lee? How could we ever afford to pay his wages? I would think he would get sold in a fire sale, no?

sadly you are likely right players like CYL and Holden wont take lesser wages they would likely move on and we would have to move them on due to financial constraints

Re: when do the BLUE DRAGON, CYL and HOLDEN return ?
I think there is a lot of speculation about who we would and wouldn't have to sell if the worst did happen. West Ham were relegated and i think they only lost Ba, Parker and Collins from that. They still managed to retain some quality players such as NOLAN? Cole and Green. It may be they are particularly richer than ourselves but i'm not sure?
I recall Newcastle keeping the likes of Taylor, Carroll and such as well

They SIGNED Nolan. They didn't retain him. Wages was the key there. Something BWFC won't have to their advantage
Meanwhile NUFC have money behind them to survive at least one year down there. We don't.

Re: when do the BLUE DRAGON, CYL and HOLDEN return ?
We have shed loads of players at the end of their contracts most of which won't be renewed should we go down.
2 Gretar Steinsson Defender June 2012
4 Paul Robinson Defender June 2012
10 Martin Petrov Midfielder June 2012
11 Ricardo Gardner Midfielder June 2012
12 Zat Knight Defender June 2012
14 Kevin Davies Forward June 2012
17 Ivan Klasnic Forward June 2012
18 Sam Ricketts Defender June 2012
20 Robbie Blake Forward June 2012
22 Jussi Jaaskelainen Goalkeeper June 2012
23 Sean Davis Midfielder June 2012
Sam Ricketts is the only one on that list I would worry about losing.
How many are our highest earners and are in the playing team presently?

Re: when do the BLUE DRAGON, CYL and HOLDEN return ?
The retention, medium term, will be down to whether we are pushing to get back. I think other clubs will want to see how Holden recovers ... the leg-break was one of those things. The latest is knee & ligaments and has taken 2 goes to recover (assuming he does) plus best part of 18 months out probably.
However good he was, people are going to want to see him re-establish that before splashing serious cash. So I suspect he'll be ours till the January window & if we're doing well may well stay to see the job through.
Lee, well that was a (rather bad) double break. He ought to recover fully, though there is a risk. The real test will be his nerve. I tend to think he'll be OK, but we won't know till it happens.
Again, he will only get going in August ... even if he squeezes a couple of matches in this season. He COULD be attractive to another club in the August window, but again, more so in January.
So, we have the opportunity, with the parachute money there, to turn the early season form into real re-build time.
I wonder who the manager will be though ??
