Probably Muamba off for Klasnic...We could win this, if only we went 4-4....newboy wrote:Prattley off at half time Eagles on Tuncay in behind Ngog.

Re: The Battle of Stamford Bridge
Lacking an outlet for me with no Mark Davies, and neither winger really looking like easing pressure by running down the line with it a few times.
I'd like to see Eagles to see if it's one of his one in three great performances.
Sordells pace might be another interesting option.
Job been done ok so far but lets keep the same shape just try and find a way of easing pressure and keeping the ball.

Yeah definitely give Sordell a chance, anyone know how long Mark Davies is out for? I thought he was supposed to be fit for today

Possibly at about 70 mins. We've done ok and chelsea look a bit flat. Cant see any changes too early. Besides we dont want to score too early and annoy them.I'm sure thats why we keep giving it back rather than trying to score when we get the ballJokers in White wrote:I would agree with that.newboy wrote:Prattley off at half time Eagles on Tuncay in behind Ngog.

Hope so. I really dont like Pratley, he runs around a lot but he positional sense is awful.newboy wrote:Prattley off at half time Eagles on Tuncay in behind Ngog.

I wouldn't leave it 70 mins, Pratley hasn't really done anything apart from dive.Ianmooreslovechild wrote:Possibly at about 70 mins. We've done ok and chelsea look a bit flat. Ryo's been isolated, Pratley's card sums up his half, Ngog's been his workmanlike self, Muamba ditto, NRC has done well not to see yellow. I liked the bit where Ream floored Drogba and Studge, otherwise our defence has been more frantic than effective. Oh, and Tuncay isn't a right mid, hope Owen Coyle spots this temporary oversight and remedies it immediately.

On TV here, though I lost the signal at the 25 minute mark and had to go out into a snow storm to dust off the satellite dish. Not a bad performance. I don't think Pratley deserved the yellow. Cahill playing well unfortunately, because his partner seems to be all over the place. Good game from Tuncay. We came into it more in the latter stages. Things could be worse. Ream also seems okay.

Well Coyle said he returned to training thurs, so obviously that was a load of bollocks.adamworthy2002 wrote:Yeah definitely give Sordell a chance, anyone know how long Mark Davies is out for? I thought he was supposed to be fit for today

COME ON YOU WHITES. Not much else I can say. It's all about when Chelsea will score right now. Our "attack" just isn't one.

Re: The Battle of Stamford Bridge
Odd one really, going off the shot/corner stats we've been battered but they still don't look particularly threatening in the final third. AVB has had games where he's got them playing a lot better in the second half so that's the concern.
Luiz tries a killer pass every time he gets it, but at least we have learned not to let him stroll to within 30 yards of goal before he has to attempt it! The lino has been our friend with a couple of those over the top though.

I'd have put him straight back into the squad, one of our best players this season.Jokers in White wrote:Well Coyle said he returned to training thurs, so obviously that was a load of bollocks.adamworthy2002 wrote:Yeah definitely give Sordell a chance, anyone know how long Mark Davies is out for? Newcastle 2 – 0 Wolves
Fulham 1 – 0 QPR
And QPR have had a man sent off.

Re: The Battle of Stamford Bridge
Keep frustrating them and try to ride our luck is probably our best chance for a result. Get Miyaichi on the ball more, he's had it twice in attacking positions one he won a corner and the other he nearly scored. Although it looks like they're short of ideas, with the players they have on the bench that could all change. I'd keep things as they are for now bringing Sordell on once Ngogs ran himself out and hopefully have a second half as uneventful as the first.

Linesman was correct (just) on both calls from the replay - Sturridge was very close though.Athers wrote:Odd one really, going off the shot/corner stats we've been battered but they still don't look particularly threatening in the final third. I think Sordell could do some damage, he has played right wing before with watford so we would still keep the shape of the team.

Totally agree mate we are missing him today he would of give them something to think about.adamworthy2002 wrote:I'd have put him straight back into the squad, one of our best players this season.Jokers in White wrote:Well Coyle said he returned to training thurs, so obviously that was a load of bollocks.adamworthy2002 wrote:Yeah definitely give Sordell a chance, anyone know how long Mark Davies is out for? Re: The Battle of Stamford Bridge
IMO Ryo is not ready for starting in these kinds of games.
Tuncay is also never ever ever a right sided midfield player. Perhaps at home when we are on the attack for 20 minutes it's ok, but he's ineffective on the right side so deep!

I'd leave it well alone for now, we're doing ok and apart from first 10 mins they are not getting clear of us. Yes I agree Tuncay isn't a wide player and Pratley isn't the best player but it's 45 gone and usually we're 3 down to these men. Keep it tight and hope to pinch one, if not give nowt away and 1 point will do me.
