Re: Speedy Eagles !!
Interesting, rather than shocking, but ;
60mph on Princess Parkway isn't easy to achieve.
His SISTER's Bentley ??? What the fck does she do. (I'm assuming bought for her by her rich football player brother)
The usual shite in mitigation. You should get EXTRA points for every sob story you give in your defence.
At his earnings I expect he can afford to employ a driver for the ban period. It's less convenient, but it's not like an ordinary Joe losing his licence.
and .... most extraordinary of all ... last year he was done for driving without insurance !! ffs.
There MUST be a job going simply administering the lives of "busy", but not especially life-competent, uber-rich footballers. I'd have thought that was part of the role of an agent. Obviously I'm wrong. Anyone fancy joining me in setting this business up ??

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

C**t! Plea hardship, massively expensive car and bluetooth handsfree not working???Riviman wrote:Caught speeding whilst using a mobile phone:

View myself travelling through a limited zone on me phone and have a terrible record for cocking my snook at authority. I'm either going to prison for a bit, having a hefty fine levied and licence revoked for a spell. Oh, hang on, my sister has breast cancer, I (and Mrs Gravedigger) do massive amounts of charity work and if you give me six points I'll lose my licence.
The judge is going to dine on my story for months.

Eagles, 'I'm a celeb, get me out of here.'
Judge/magistrate. 'I can see the hardship and therefore I'm going to levy a fine of about an hour of your salary and give you a couple of points.' Now that is a fair deal.

Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.

He should be sent down for his revolting dress sense alone.

You know, most of the people that I ever see driving with a phone to their ear always seem to be driving £50K + cars.Gravedigger wrote:massively expensive car and bluetooth handsfree not working???

Last place I worked was at Basell Chemicals in Carrington. It's on the same side road as the United training ground. My start time was the same time as theirs and they'd be buggering off home just as we were nipping out for dinner and every day without fail most of them would be chatting on their phones. Thing is, there's always kids hanging around the traffic lights there hoping to get player's autographs and often they'd jump the lights and screw round the corner, still chatting on the phone to avoid the hassle of getting mythered by the fans. It really is only a matter of time before one of the kids gets knocked down there.Bruce Rioja wrote:You know, most of the people that I ever see driving with a phone to their ear always seem to be driving £50K + cars.Gravedigger wrote:massively expensive car and bluetooth handsfree not working???

Re: Speedy Eagles !!
I guess so.
They're pretty ruthless though (the fans). We were behind a player at the lights one dinner time; can't remember who, and about 15-20 of the little fckers rush out and crowd his car complete with shirts, programmes and memrobilia to sign. They're almost fighting to get to the window first and the player has no choice but to sign them.
I asked the bloke at the sausage butty van about it and he said that they'd damaged a few cars, just scratches and stuff but the players were sick of it, poor lambs. Apparently the kids just ebay the stuff after it's signed anyway.
Fella I worked with drove a TVR and they rushed us a couple of times on our way to the chippy just cos it was a half decent car. I was up for signing a shirt but they didn't seem so keen when they saw my fat face in the passenger seat.

They're usually driving a) vans or b) clapped out VW golf's or similar,
You need your eyes testing (or your sense of perception).

Seriously though, I would agree that I can't understand why people would spend that much on a car and not put an in-car kit in it!
Mine all works in through the bluetooth into the speakers.
