It's so we can have two left backs to get beaten and Steinesson will come over to help leaving the back post free for Silva to score a couple of tap ins.

Was planning a trip up for the Blackburn game. Don't think I'll bother now that these clueless line-ups remain. A midfield of Pratley, Mavies and Coker

Wow! What a team selection. 'Wow' is all I can think.
Is he experimenting? what is it? It's absolutely bizarre. I'm gobsmacked!

He takes this game as a write off and starts experimenting, lucky he did not call robbo, kd and perhaps blake.

Unless a square peg is in a round hole (Steinsson right midfield?) I can ONLY imagine it's three at the back, aiming to push the full-backs on (although that leaves City's wide men a free run).
NRC the only midfielder who can tackle.
Davies "sort of" right, Ryo left, Pratley centralbutitdoesn'tmatter

3-3-3-1

---Wheater-Ream-Knight---
Steinsson---NRC----Ricketts
Mavies----Pratley----Myaichi
----------Ngog----------

Just call him Marcelo Bielsa

(I fear he may be called other things)

Three at the back - Wheater, Knight and the left footed Ream.
Steinsson and Ricketts as 'wing-backs'
Midfield two of Coker and Pratley with Davies just in front.
Miyachi with a free role on the left side with Ngog up top with a first touch that's heavier than Black Sabbath?

Or will it just be a 4-4-2? and the lads decide between them who's playing where as they walk out the tunnel?
Strange.

I see City have left Silva and Aguero on the bench though...

Clattenburg's in charge. No Stevie Ireland at City any more to talk toupee with. Poor lad.

We were going to lose anyway.

If he keeps it next week we can kiss our arses goodbye. He could have played a scratch 11 off here for all the good it would do.

Miyachi with NGog up top
narrow mid three

I've given up with Coyle, the man is clearly just sticking up two fingers at the Bolton fans and calling us c*nts with every team selection he makes that is more and more bizarre.

On the plus side City are resting Silva and Aguero.
